Hello, I was wondering if there is a way to get all Pokemon trainers, even gym leaders to scale with your level. What I mean is that for example: You are Level 20, you then level up, and ALL trainers even Gym Leaders and Bosses scale their levels to yours. Like normal trainers would always be 3+ levels lower than you, and Gym Leaders will always be 3+ higher than you including Team Bosses. So, I was wondering how I could go about implementing this into my game? Because I feel that trying to adjust difficulty of trainers really should just be adjusted by how well you do, rather than it being a fixed number.

    Hello. ^_^

There's some threads about having the NPC trainers leveling up already. The most recent one is this one: https://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=318678

The existing example codes use a formula to slightly randomize the levels of the opponent's Pokemon just a bit so their levels aren't all the exact same (but are still within five or so levels of each other), but to do the "3 above for gym leaders, 3 below for trainers" idea, what you could do is somehow assign the gym leaders a variable a global switch, then have the formula check to see if the variable is correct/switch is turned on. If so, they get your party's average + 3. If not, they get your party's average -3. Then I suspect you may need to switch the variable/global switch off during the victory portion of the gym leader battles where you stick the after-dialogue and rewards. That's just a guess, though. I'm not very skilled with RGSS code.
