Pokemon Trials??!?

What do people think about having trials instead of gyms?
"i feel like its a nice refresh (pokemon refresh pun) from the rest cause the gyms were getting a little boring but now its like pokemon is all new and i feel like a new fan again!"

Trials felt more fleshed out to me, and that's from someone who was disappointed to see the removal of gyms at first. While Gyms are fun, it's good to have a shake-up after having the same formula for so many years.
