Pokemon Video Game Championships

Ok, so i'm new to the forum, but i'm familiar with forum use, so if this thread doesn't match the rules then i sincerely apologise.

Basically, i'm a keen pokemon enthusiast. I'm looking for information on the recent 'Pokemon video game world championships'. I believe the qualifiers for this have just finished and my question is, Are there any members of the pokecommunity forums who have attended the London based european qualifier for Pokemon video game championships? If so, could you possibly answer a few questions of mine?

I would prefer somebody from the EU or someone who has been to an EU event to answer the questions, as my concerns focus more on these events.

Also, if there is a UK/EU based forum, that would be great if i could be linked ;D

I used to live in the Czech Republic and I remember two of my older friends going to an event in Austria.

There also were events in berlin, germany and Paris, France.
I wanted to attend the one in Berlin but but I was short on money ;_;
Funny thing is, two guys I know from another board went to the event in Paris after losing in Berlin and now France has a german champion.
