I have been thinking, and have discovered something, that might change the video game Pokemon, and maybe even the whole Video Game world itself.
Listen: Recently, Nintendo has developed a new way to transfer data: The Wireless Adapter. Think about it, wireless data can now travel across the air invisibly, to another GBA which will receive that information! Very useful, don't you agree?
Now, I believe that this Invisible Information, (what I call II) doesn't supposedly have to go onto another GBA, instead, maybe to what I call RP, or Recieving Platform. Let's say that the RP can recieve II, just like another GBA? That seems useless though, it's just a platform! You can't play Pokemon on a platform, right?
Bear with me, this is where it gets difficult to understand.
The Pokemon VS(Visual Simulation)! A GBA designed to read specified Pokemon data. Instead of holding it with two hands, you strap it to your wrist, and press the buttons with your other fingers.
But this is not like any GBA, the VS can only simulate battles. When you put Pokemon Fire Red or Pokemon Leaf Green, or new games that Game Freak has yet to produce, your current team of pokemon will enter battle mode, that is if only someone else with another VS ready and turned on is near you. Kind of like turning on your game right inside the Colliseum (spelt wrong) in a PokeCenter.
Your battle will begin. On the VS, you can watch, but you can also watch it, in the real world.
The WI will send signals to two different sources. It will send signals to the other VS, so the battle can commense, but also to the RP. The RP will read the same data that both VS's are sending, but will be able to build a holographic structure of the pokemon, and their designated moves! So as you battle on the VS, you can watch the battle while the pokemon stand on the platforms!
But alas, it's not all that simple! We humans cannot see IIs! They're invisible! Unless of course, we put on the Goggles.
The Goggles, *yet to have a name* are very important, because they allow you to see your Pokemon! You see, the Goggles have sensors on the sides of them, and can read the IIs. How do you ask?
A long time ago, before Geocities, websites were very difficult to make! You had to start from scratch!
<html><body> Like this. The Goggles (TG for short temp.) are able to read and produce these IIs, just like producing a website! So, they give you an image, a 3-D image of the II's, which the RP has built to make it look like a Pokemon.
Do you get it now? With the VS, RP, WI, and TG, Pokemon battles can be brought to the REAL world!
Now I'll show you a more detailed look at each item:
Pokemon VS:
As I was designing this on paper, I shaped it as more of a rectangle, like the GBs.
VS's don't have all the buttons GBA's have, because these are designed for battle! As you watch the game screen, as you choose a move, you click the button corrosponding the move's position! That's right, there are 4 attack buttons,
()Attack
()Attack
()Attack
()Attack
Ok? So let's say this:
Ludicolo:
Hydro Pump
Strength
Ice Beam
Fake Out
You want to use Ice Beam?
Click the 3rd Attack button! And then you'll be able to use that move, and watch in the Real World.
There's also a ()Switch Button, allowing you to Switch Pokemon in battle.
RP:
I gave you a very brief description last time, the RP can actually do more.
First of all, I'm sure you're thinking that the WI's will get messed up, reading the other's RP, or just getting unorganized with all the different signals in the air.
Actually, the RP has a few things that can fix that: Like a telephone, the side of the Platform will have numbers, 1234567890, and an Enter, and a Backspace
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9
B 0 E
(Backspace=B, Enter=E)
All you have to do is type your ID Number, and the RP will only read signals from that #. But if you have more games, or you have a sibling that wants to play, you can put at the most 10 IDs in the RP's CPU.
Also, I'm sure you're thinking: If the Pokemon only stay on the platform, how will they attack?
Well, on the bottom corners of the RP, there will be scanners. The Scanners will read the ground level all around them. Let's say it's a little bumpy to the left, the RP will scan and read that, so when the pokemon moves, they will go up the bump instead of going through it! The scan will go as far as 10 feet.
What about Rayquaza, Kyogre, and most importantly, Wailord?
This might be the only problem for me, but I think I can fix that by making them small. It might be a little lame for a 10 foot Wailord, but it's the most I can do.
TG
I gave you a pretty good explanation before. All I can say more is that it has that fuzzy stuff, (can't recall what it's called) that sticks together whenever they go together.., you know, one side is furry and the other is scratchy? Whatever. The point is is that it can stretch and attatch to your head no matter what your head size. The Goggles's II reader are on the sides of the eye pieces., so you won't see the wires or gear in front of you.
This is my creation, Pokemon VS. Maybe it's not possible currently, but in 1970 people would scoff at what I'm using right now, the internet.
As I said before, this doesn't JUST have to be for Pokemon. The VS could also be used for Yugio possibly, or other 'cock fighting' type games for GBA.
Please, if I didn't makes much sense, do tell! Also, tell me if you think it's a good idea or not.
Thanks for the response! I'm thinking of sending this to Game Freak, and maybe they'll produce it!
Thanks to all who respond
