    The walkthrough is up!
    Alright guys. I ended up doing Pokemon Quartz.
    After this I'm going to do the #1 game in the poll.

    Hey everyone, Tator here. (Duh)

    I just got into making video walkthroughs for games, and I wanted to make a pokemon walkthrough.
    I would be making it for this community.

    Now, I need your help with some things


    • Which game should I use? (Hacks included) (Poll for this)
    • Should it be voice narrated or just a play-through?
    • Where should I upload the videos?
    • How should I classify the videos? (I.E. - Should I give them a title? Or just "Part 1", "Part 2", etc.)
    • Should I do as many videos at a time as possible? Or just one a day/week?
    I will be using an emulator for this, and Camtasia Studio 6 to record.
    For GBA games - Visual Boy Advance
    For DS games - No$GBA with No$ZOOMER


    Any tips/help would be appreciated as well.

    I suggest that ya might do walkthrough for hacks since the google is full of walkthroughs for original games :)
    Ya should try Crono/Genesis
    About walkthrough. I don't think videos are important. I think walkthrough written in World or other program is more then enough :)
     
    I prefer a play-through and maybe you can post on YouTube.

    For the Pokemon hacks, I think u should ask the creator's permission.
    I also agree with Pokemon Crono.
    It is quite difficult.

    If it was my decision, I would want to do a hack.
    I'm doing a video walkthrough. When I said walkthrough/playthrough I just meant whether it should be narrated or not.

    Youtube was my first choice.

    I was going to ask the creator before I started anything (If a hack was chosen)

    There are actually a lot of walkthroughs for them haha.


    If it was my choice, I would do Genesis. It's had 3 betas so it's pretty far in. Either that or Quartz.

    I would go with Genesis as well or any other Rom Hack because walkthroughs for hacked games are harder to come by. Most rom hack playthroughs are usually found only in Youtube and some of them don't even get finished at all.

    Also, I would recommend voice narration although it is not necessary. The reason I recommend it is because some people would watch playthroughs just for the commentary.

    As there are already many walkthroughs for the original Pokemon games, I'd like a walkthrough for the others. (Voted for Pokemon Genesis)

    Well this is mighty fabulous and all... but Pokémon General really isn't the place for this. Instead, you should send this to the creator the hack you made this for, and see if they'll post a link to it in the official thread... otherwise it doesn't really belong anywhere D:
