I always wanted to know if the majority of pokemon fans even liked the Ash and pikachu team because I find it intoxicating, he cares a little to much for that pikachu then any other pokemon in his team.

I like other pokemon characters and their relations to their pokemon beside Ash cause he tends to over do it.

I like and is more of the Gary/Paul type of trainer. All I care for is success but I have sympathy if they faint sometimes.

I think most of would train more like Gary or Shinji in the games, because that's all that they are. Honestly, if we trained our own real, flesh and blood Pokemon.. more of us would be like Ash and Pikachu then we'd like to admit. At least thats my thoughts on it. :/

I see what you mean but I would be the Jun and Empoleon type if they were real

I would always want to train my Pokemon to be strong, but I'd have a deep bond with all of the Pokemon I ever captured.

...Part of me wants to be like Paul and say "OU or GTFO", but I like some pretty useless Pokemon lol =\

A majority of Pokémon fans are young children. You shouldn't ask this on any forum if you want to know what the majority thinks.

Wouldn't you say under do it? You claim that he cares less for his other Pokémon other than Pikachu.

That's nice. Most game players are like that.

I see what you mean. Paul only using the strong pokemon is rather refreshing. He's what got me back into the anime. Don't get me wrong, though. I still like Ash, but he really needed a true rival in Paul. Gary quit battling after losing to Ash in Johto. Talk about a sore loser.

Yeah, most of us that play the games are just like Paul, which is why he is one of my favorite characters in DP. BTW, Paul >>>>> Gary.

As for me, I'm sort of in between Ash and Paul. I use mainly use underdogs like Azumarril and Clefable but I keep them strong like Paul. I'm the Paul of UU pokemon.

...I think Gary was quitting anyways to become a researcher, because that's what he really wanted to do. Not because he lost. I agree Ash needed Paul (and so did the anime as a whole) for a wake-up call.

For myself, I'd be training my Pokemon as hard as I could without being truly cruel. I'd veer towards Paul in terms of training, but I'd also form a bond with my Pokemon (and encourage them).

    Lol, Warped Reflections OWNED pochama95.

But I think that if people were trainers, they would hardly ever battle pokemon, that's kind of like dog fighting, isn't it?

It's been repeatedly pointed out in the anime that a trainer's starter is a unique bond. This goes for Gary too.

Gary and Paul aren't the same. Gary and Ash are almost completely the same, as far as how they train and battle. Gary has a bit more...I don't know, stage presence, but that's about it.

    "I find it intoxicating"
That means you really really like it. .-. Just so you know.

Anyways, I would love my Pokemon a lot like Ash does.
Actually I DO, in the game. I talk to them, and cheer for them, and don't make them breed with their siblings for good IVs/Natures/Egg Moves.

Yes, but the Pokémon world is a completely different society. Battling is completely normal and natural for Pokémon and their trainers.

As for the question, I care too much for a group of pixels. If they were real, they would be more so pets I carry everywhere rather than fighting machines.
