This started as a "courtesy song" I felt Brock would sing at the start of a storytelling show that was originally going to be part of a one shot--but then I felt the song would do well on its own.
"A Storyteller's Request"
Well, I'm a modern-day minstrel here to share my craft
so to make sure this show doesn't get the shaft,
I wanna tell you that telling stories isn't always fun,
There's always the chance that something happens before the show is done.
Kids may not pay attention, so they run wild and scream
(Which can usually be chalked up to too much sweets and ice cream)
While their moms and dads are too engrossed in conversation
To put down their cell phones and enjoy a different kind of narration.
And to make matters worse, some big names have come here
Such as Kochou and the Beautiflies or Hero Herdier
But while it's all well and good to see some stars of animation,
I'm all alone on the stage, lost in my frustration.
Cause nobody ever told me characters would be there
And when I tried to protest they said, "Come, or be square"
So I made the most of that disaster, yet I've seen worse
I really hope that you guys don't become my next verse.
So the moral of this little song is pretty plain to see,
I hope you'll give a singing storyteller a little courtesy.
So I can share tales from my travels from lands fantastic and real
Which will satisfy your hearts like the greatest meal.
