Oh dear lord... I love Pokemon, but do they need to have an official brand for everything?

I got some of these recently. I haven't ate them yet, but I think that you shouldn't have a cash-in for everything... I must admit though, this is pretty cute. I like the fact that there are these sort of things, but honestly I think it makes Pokemon look a little cheap. So what are some of the worst Pokemon cash-ins you've ever seen? The worst I saw was "Official Pokemon Brand Drinking Straws" with a Pikachu print. I'm not saying anything bad about Pokemon, but you must admit this is a little rediculous.

I will make sure to get a box of Pokeroni. Makes me hungry for macaroni.

On topic though, that's probably the worst I can recall.

Some brand of frech fries started releasing discs, with a picture of a pokemon on it inside the packet.

I recall Pokemon cereal before the release of Gold and Silver in North America, had Hoothoot, Ledyba and Marill on it. Gotta love branding on food that really does sell.

I seem to recall Pokemon macaroni before. I think I might have had some as a kid... I've had Pokemon bandages, Pokemon Welsh's jelly jars, Pokemon cereal, Pokemon school supplies, Pokemon fastfood toys, Pokemon dog tags... haha n_n Yay marketing?

Dude, they've been doing this for years. Why are you complaining now?

That would be what I was thinking of. Man, I haven't had Kraft Macaroni in so long...

We used to have Pokemon shaped Spaghetti in a can over here in Britain. Same as those Past hoops, just Pokemon shaped.

Aww man, someone already mentioned this

It's not the original copyright owners necessarily condoning such branding, simply that they're being paid licencing fees by the companies (namely Kraft, here) for some intellectual property rights I don't think anyone is really that stuffed about. I understand most people who are not me don't mind being paid idly for others to print out some drawings that have some sort of subcultural sway over people's minds onto their steel cans and so forth.

Sure it's all a profiteering scandal, but that's what life is.

Pokémon Mac 'n Cheese is absolutely delicious. I really want some now :(
I remember (back in my day, hurr) having a toy Pokédex that would "talk." I'm sure if I went back and found it, I'd realize how demonic it sounds. Oh, I also remember when my elementary school banned those Pokéball toys that "shoot" figures of Pokémon that are attached to a string. Apparently kids got seriously injured by them.

I had Pokemon bubble gum once...it wasn't as good as Juicy Fruit. D:

I'll also admit to having had Pokemon school supplies for one year in middle school. :P

Oh god, I forgot about all of the merchandising they did. My mom got me the Pokemon jelly jars when they were out, as I remember. I also remember having the dog tags and other little trinkets. How funny- I forgot all about that.

Exactly what I was thinking. I used to eat Pokeroni back in the day. Heck I pretty much ate any shaped macaroni, because for some reason I thought it tasted better than regular macaroni XD

I remember the dog tags. BTW, Snorlax? Pokemon brand french fries? Really?

One of my favorite Pokemon toys was one I got when I was almost 5. I had discovered Pokemon in the previous year (look in my bio), and my Mom got me a cute plush toy. It was one of those Pokeballs with a zipper on the bottom. When you unzipped it, and flipped it inside out, it would be a Pikachu. I recently found one at a Goodcents (a division of Goodwill where everything is under 2.00 and most commonly 50 cents). I sometimes wonder if it is the one I had all those years ago...
