    I know a couple of people here have mentioned it, but what's the deal with the Pokerus? What does it do, and is there any truth to the claim that you get it from wild pokwmon on Route 102? I want your views on it now!

    This goes in Simple Questions. Go have a read of the FAQs to clear things up. Reading the rules of this whole site might be a good idea as well (since you're new).
     
    Pokerus is a virus that doubles the amount of EVs your Pokemon earn through battles. It's useful during EV training. If one of your Pokemon have it, it can spread it to your others. Pokerus wears off after a short period of time. Once it wears off, that Pokemon will never ever get Pokerus again.

    Getting Pokerus is completely random. RANDOM. You can get it from any wild Pokemon anywhere.
     
    yes pokerus is random but the odds of gettin' it are really really low
    about the same as finding shiny pokemon I think

    but when u get it, it's really good train with Pokerus + mach brace and
    u'r pokemon will earn MEGA EV points so yeah...be on the look out for it
