    Went I went to the pokemon center on pokemon platinum the girl said "Your pokemon may be effected with pokerus, not much is know about pokerus except that its a microscopic ____ (forgot word)"
     
    Pokerus is a special condition your Pokemon gains that doubles the amount of EVs it gets from a single battle. Don't worry about it, it'll go away on it's own but the effects will remain.
