But once your pokemon has got a smiling face but no Pokerus, then it can't infect others with Pokerus can it?

You must engage in battle with a wild pokemon that holds the Pokerus.

So even if your pokemon cant spread pokerus anymore it still has the effects of pokerus on it?

Yes... I think so..
I personally dont EV train. If i need EV training... off to my friends. So i wouldnt know.
Though, I think it will still be able to exploit the PokeRus..
