The principal continued speaking, 'We, uh... got a phone call from the hospital.' At that instant dread and fear filled CK. She didn't want to hear anymore than that, but he kept going. 'You have a brother there, right? Harrison Pyraine?' CK bit her lip and slowly nodded her head. 'This morning he was reported dead.'
CK staggered back, shaking her head and whispered 'No...' the principal looked at her sympathetically, and CK shouted 'NO!!!' before turning around, ripping the door open and stumbling out. She ran, as fast as she could with her head down the whole way. She had no idea where she was going, but didn't care. She didn't notice, but she almost ran over a party of six Pokemon, who began running after her, calling out for her, but she didn't hear them. All she knew was the pain that was flooding through her, through the tears that were soaking her face.
Eventually she came to the tree she had been sitting by the other day, the place where she met Suicune and Raikou. She sat down with her back to it, pulled her knees to her chest and buried her head. She kept on crying, even as the Pokemon slowly approached her. Quilava nudged her side, and got her attention. She lifted her head and lowered her knees, picked Quilava up and hugged him. Anorith sat over her feet while Electrike lay on her thighs. Politoed, Sealeo and Feraligatr stood nearby.
CK was a little glad she had some support, but this wasn't enough. Now that her brother was gone she couldn't go back home, she wouldn't be able to support herself. She had nowhere to go...
