    the maker doesnt want any content he doesnt make on a page so I just need a forum and News Updaters to keep the news thing fresh

    What kind of forum do you want? I've got IPB 1.3 or phpBB. Personally, I prefer IPB. (unless you want to spend $160 for a vBulletin, which I highly doubt)
     
    SMF has no mods whatsoever that I've found. Plus it's really...strange :P
     
    There are a few out there. :P

    But it isn't even to full release, so it's useless developing mods at this point in the game.
     
    yeah, smf is the best i use it for my site, is the best, just wait for the final release it will have a lot of mod.

    I really recommend SMF, it's clean, easy to understand and edit templates, really intuitive mod install system and stuff like that... pretty too ^^
     
    I agree that SMF has a lot of potential once it gets to final release. But for now IPB is my favorite (other than vB). My forum's IPB, with a VERY nice arcade mod installed. *stops bragging* XD
     
    let see you get the latest version, ipb is a commercial script now, no more free ipb
     
    I know... :( *mumbles something about being betrayed* Still I THINK 1.3 doesn't fall under those rules.
     
    SMF is already in RC1 so it's stable, and I still feel it's the best. You could always go back to YaBB SE, which was my favourite before SMF came out.

    I think there's one called XMB or something which I really like.
     
    phpBB seems all right, too, but that Admin CP... *shudders*
     
    oh well i never liked IPB and I dont think I will really need a forum (might just ask Kyle if PokeWizards can join as a community site)
