First about a year ago, she got naughty and made a semi-nude picture of herself.

And now she made a picture of herself with friends posing like an Asian and have offended this Asian American group.

Anyways, the point is what have you been thinking about Miley Cyrus recently, with all that's going on and do you think this picture "mistakes" are getting common?

I really think Miley is a good actor and all but, her show and these incidents are getting common. Although, I don't think I can blame her for the recent one.
But I still think she's HAWT.

She's in the public eye so she should take a lot more care in what she does, especially if she's a role model for young kids.

Myself, I don't think she's that great an actress, and she's only a half decent singer. Famous only for being someones daughter and for inheriting part of his singing gene xD

Let me just say this, if any other American did that, it wouldn't have made a difference or have become a such a craze in the news. "Taunting Asians"? Um, what? Seriously, just about everyone I know (even Asians) have done that at least once with friends at a public place. This is a bunch of crap is what this is. Whoever thinks that has some issues they need to resolve. I mean, seriously. There's even an Asian in the picture.

People need to grow up. Besides, everyone knows Asians are awesome.

She looks so much better like that, in my opinion. Much prettier of a person...

I guess all we can do is hope that she won't turn out like Britney...

I've never been a fan of her, but it'd be pretty sad to see her walk the same road as Britney... Especially since she's pretty young. I agree with everybody here. Being a teen pop model, I'm sure life isn't so easy for her. But this picture really shouldn't be taken seriously.

Don't you go there. Don't you dare go there. Britney Spears is a successful entertainer. She has had her rough times but she has made it back to the top of the pop industry just where she belongs.

She's just like Britney was ten years ago. Everyone made fun of her every move. It's how being a teenage idol works. You get mocked. It's annoying as hell, but you deal with it.

    I don't think that's it at all, actually. I mean yeah, I agree with you about the media unfairly pin-pointing every minor aspect of a celebrity's life for public exploitation, but the fact is...this sounds like it could have been somewhat offensive o_o;

Like I said, what you stated in that quote is true, but...Miley Cyrus's targetted audience is made up primarily of pre-teen girls, from I've noticed. She's an idol to them, man; they look up to her. If she's going around doing things like this off-screen, I think it should be brought to attention that she's not as "innocent" as she may appear to be on-screen =/

    Just my two cents.

As much as I hate her music, her guts, and everything about her. I must admit I think they're taking the Asian thing a bit too far. Sure it was mean, and the picture shouldn't have been taken, but as some of you[ Aurapostle] said, many people make fun of Asians in this country, and nobody pays it much attention. So it's kinda messed up that when she does it, everyone's like "OMGNOSHEDIDN'TJUSTMAKEFUNOFASIANS":(

It's like when England went all ape over Prince harry referring to his friend as a "paki". The media takes it out of the context that it was intended to be in and turns it into racism.

Hmm... That is true. I'm just hoping Cyrus doesn't have those "rough" times because it's going to make her look bad. Few people can actually talk seriously about Spears these days.

    How unfortunate.

If anything I respect her (spears) more than I did before her issues. She's really pulled through, and shown people that it's not too late to turn yourself around.

It's a shame that it's not just the media that are mistaking the context of what happened but others as well. People like that really need to get out more or something.

True dat. But if it wasn;t for the media twisting things in the first place, other people wouldn't be as likely to take it out of context.

When i look at that picture, all i see is some teenagers who have had a few drinks having a bit of a joke with a mate.

Examples like these are exactly why I don't watch the news.... or read many magazines.

Now that I think about it, I'd hate to be famous. The rumors being spread about celebrities these days are the work of pure evil.

What are we to say that humans aren't, by nature, "evil"?

You see some media twisting what happens and some people over reacting about events so you decide to rid yourself of the news and magazines of the world that provide insight information regarding these occurrences? ...Smart.

I don't see what being evil has to do about anything. The point is, they want the money. The more drama the story flares, the more money they get.

These people will ruin the reputations of others just to make some money. Thats really the whole point... :\

And its not that I rid myself of them, but rather I don't pay attention to the information they provide on celebrities about what they have "done". I worded it wrongly. My mistake.

As how evil has to do with anything goes with people trying to ruin the lives of others for money... And the fact that most people will only pay attention to something dramatic may also play a role, but that isn't being evil, its just being human.

All I'm saying is, these magazines can get rather heartless, and in my opinion, it can described as being evil, or just mean, which are two similar but also different ideas.

Okay, maybe they aren't pure evil, but I think I'd blame anything that really happens to Miley Cyrus on the press, because I'm sure they are awaiting her every move, and trying to make it seem as negative as possible.

I think she's a medicore actor and a bad singer myself...
Disney actors and other child actors/actors in children shows and/or movies always seem to end up being stupid/bad people, she's just another one of em.
Plus she's "famous" so anything she does someone somewhere is either gonna see it or find pictures someone else took and spread it around.

As for Britney, I never liked her.

    *Praises* :)

You just said what I didn't have the guts to say....

I kind of hope she doesn't stop doing stuff like this just to appease the media. 8) People are too easily offended these days and the smallest things set them off. I just looked at the picture and kinda laughed--who the hell hasn't done stuff like that with friends? If anything it shows a little more humanity in a celeb than you normally get a glimpse of. Underneath it all she's still just a teen having fun with friends. I hope she doesn't lose that.

I don't like or dislike her. I don't... think I've even heard any of her songs. 8D; I just hear her name come up from time to time.

Isn't the guy on the second left asian?
If he hasn't got a problem with it then you'd think nobody else should.

    Lol, context ads.
