85, 80, 90, 105, 95, 60. Those are hardly novelty base stats. Plus moves like Recover, Conversion2, Magic Coat, Recycle, etc. . . sounds like a successful tank to me. It's not gonna slaughter the entire OU tier, but I would hardly call it 'novelty.'
 
I would. Porygon-2 went down the toilet in this generation and if you use it in a competitive team, it's going to go down way more than just a toilet.

So that's how Porygon-Z got knocked out. I turn my head for one second and I see that he's gone. That was embarassing, but now I have a sp. counter.

Um, Porygon2 is good. With Trace working on Intimidate, he makes an excellent Gyarados counter, and covers a lot of other things as well.
