If this is in the wrong spot, please lock/move/do whatever needs to be done.

i have recently made another trade thread, and i have a problem where i go to edit my OP, and i get an "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" no matter what i do. I had a conversation with Rukario on what to do, but it hasnt helped. :/ Rukario said to log out, close all browsers, and to check the conection, which i did, to no avail.

I have logged onto PC, on 3 separate computers, because i was was told it may be a computer issue/connection issue. I have never had this problem with my internet before, or any problems at all for that matter, i have a strong, fully-working connection.

I had this issue editing after my double post(s) were merged, and i think in getting merged, the OP has gone over the character limit, as my thread is rather Huge.

Is there any way to fix it? Either through some moderating or otherwise? Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

when does it timeout? as you load the editor or when you submit your edits? Try a different browser. How much RAM does your computer have? Are you using the quick edit or advanced (full editor)?

Try cutting (save on notepad, if needed) about 1/2 your thread, then submit your edit.. if that saves, then your post was too long.. you can then post the rest/other half in a new post adding whatever new stuff you need.

it times out as i click the edit button, so im guessing as i load the editor, and the regular editor. ok, ill go give that a try.

I was told to give mozilla firefox a try, i heard it was faster, better, etc, so ill download that and hope it works. i have internet explorer 8 as the defaulted browser as of now.

Try Opera if Firefox doesn't work. Firefox was slower for me and it showed things slightly differently from what they were supposed to look like. I use Opera now and it works like a charm.
