Possibly the end of Pokemon!

Oh well of course, everything has to end but.... it depends when it will end.... as an example put mario, in business it would be an idiot decision to take mario off the market and as far as i know also Pokemon. They are some big business and cannot end just like this, unless replaced by something that is already booming and will make them die slowly.... but apparently they are the biggest marked nintendo has and unless nintendo wants to retire and close the business, they will keep on living for this time being. of course, nothiing has no end, so there will b, but how soon? surely not soon enough just like this. as an example, do you think mc donalds will ever stop making the big mac? as in business its called, its their cash cow, and its a great success and will not end that soon.... i guess pokemon and mario are something like that... you cannot take them out just like this.

Not trying to be the big downer, but Pokemon could die. Remember Sega? They were so old school and now look at them, there gone and no one seems to care. Stuff happens, who know what will vanish next.

yes, but of course, in that case you talk about nintendo closing the business.... what was the first post talking about was nintendo removing pokemon INTENTIONALLY.

As I said, unless the nintendo closes there is no chance that pokemon may be killed like this... it just would not make business sense.

Were did I say that? I didn't even mention anything about Nintendo in that post lol. Anything is possible my friend. I'm trying to say this is as nicely as possible when I say that Pokemon isn't as popular as it was in '98. I had to ask around for a weeks to even find 1 person who had GSC so I could test out my team. When something does vanish, it leaves signs. As for Emerald version, just because they say its coming out, doesn't mean its always going to. I mean, what ever happened green version?

Green Version was never meant for america. Tehy say it was a Japanese blue, but in reality is was a special edition that supposedly hasd better graphics. Of course, they probably didn't release it in america because such a minor change, and only one of them, isn't exactly big enough to build a whole new game around. :\

LoL you were talking about sega, and sega has kind of closed down, at least on making consoles, so that it why i was talking about nintendo closing down. anyway, i just know that no one can predict the future, so one can just go guessing what is going to happen, and regarding this situation is unlikely that nintendo is going to remove pokemon... unless people start disliking it ?_?
And anyway, I know pokemon is not as famous as it was in 98, but it is still a good market and if they renew it with some good idea it can come out booming again. (hopefully XP)

I agree with Pogiforce-14. Pokemon in my opinion will never die. Sure, it may lose interest with the populace after awhile, but it will still go on in the hearts and minds of those who remember playing the game (video game or card game) or watching the show. Pokemon will never die as long as people still have interest in it.

You know I highely think Pokemon won't end neither until Nintendo stops making money. Nintendo won't just drop Pokemon in a trash can just because of it dying out. I was reading the past posts and I like Pogiforce-14 & Barries thinking.

I heard that there are some brand spaking new Pokemon games coming out for Nintendo DX.

Yeah, i think nintendo has still got purposes regarding pokemon, as an example is Gonbe... this means new pokemon are arriving as well as a new generation for pokemon! and who knows, it may get popular again somehow ;)

Indeed. Personally, I would love it if I could be open about being a Pok?fan again?

*sighs* There were threads just like this at SPP too. Well, Nintendo may stop making Pokemon merchandise, but that doesn't mean we have to stop loving it. This forum will still be here, I am sure, if Nintendo stops making more games. Plus, then we don't have to worry about finishing the newest game as fast as possible before the next one comes out. XD

You're all insanely retarded. Seriously. Everybody knows that Nintendo wouldn't drop Pokemon out of the blue, just like how any company would keep something if it gets them money. That's the reason why it's there. But the kid here says that Pokemon will last forever, and that's kind of stupid as people will eventually lose their interest on it and it won't get Nintendo anymore money. And also, Pokemon could be whiped if there was a World War 3. I can see it now: "Oh God, there's a Pokemon theme park. Let's not drop an atomic bomb here".

Well of course as I said pokemon won't last forever, because nothing does last forever.

But still, what we mean is that it is not going to disappear just like this because of a nintendo's decision. And anyway, pokemon is still interesting for many people and possibly it will become even more popular... who knows what is going to happen... and the world war 3 thing is just a stupid thing ?_?
Its like if I say pokemon will end because a meteora will hit the planet in 2 years time ?_? it does not make sense, of course anything can just finish like this but thats not what we were discussing about >_<

And please please please, keep the tone pleasant and dont call people retarded ?_? We are discussing, not fighting.

The problem with Pokemon is that it already reached it's maximum point already. Once you reach such level of perfectness, there's nowhere to go but down. The only way to get Pokemon to be as popular as before is by coming up with new ideas. Trust me, the more they add more Pokemon and just throw an RPG with the usual storyline(You get to choose one of 3 Pokemon that are always the same types, you suddenly have a rival that will choose the one stronger than yours by type, you go to an adventure and collect 8 badges then go to beat the elite four, and on your way, there's some evil gang that you have to beat(Team Rocket/magma/aqua)). Okay, we already got that. It's always the same thing, and people are getting bored. They liked it before because it was something new and unique, but it, like pretty much everything else, got corny at a point.

Sorry if I sound harsh sometimes, but I was abused as a child and the way I cope is by expressing myself through my writing. Please be more understanding :(

Ok, Ok, look. Pogiforce was right, Pokemon will be timeless. If they are making a theme park based on it, that will immediatly make Pokemon last forever. Disney is timeless ( even though I hate it) Because it has 2 theme parks. Since Japan is having so many plans, they won't stop there, and the game won't stop here.

That was kinda spammy...... don't flame like that. But it's true, people who think Pokemon is gonna end don't know what they are talking about.

Looks like there are more dense idiots than I ever thought. Heh.

Some people think that just because something will have a theme park based on it, it will be timeless. Brilliant conclusion. Some posts in this thread may be reasonable, but most of them veer away at the last second into a head-on collision with the idiot mobile carrying a full load of dumbass.
