You don't know anything. I was also making other points out, Japan has so many other plans, and by the look of it it is gonna last for a VERY long time. So you think Pokemon is gonna die and that the games are stupid, you're just too lazy to catch all the pokemon.

Ok, Ok, look. Pogiforce was right, Pokemon will be timeless. If they are making a theme park based on it, that will immediatly make Pokemon last forever. Disney is timeless ( even though I hate it) Because it has 2 theme parks. Since Japan is having so many plans, they won't stop there, and the game won't stop here.

Mmm. But if you think about it also Legos were really good, they have a themepark too but now they are in crisis because not many people buy Legos anymore and don't go to the Lego theme park much too... So it doesn't mean that if Pokemon has a theme park it will be more popular. An example is that I hate theme parks and so do other people, even if they love Pokemon... And with the fact that the Pokemon theme park is going to be in Japan... Well, that's good in the way that Japanese people mostly love Pokemon and attractions but it's bad in the way that other people from other countries have to travel really much to go to this theme park... I mean, it's not that it's so near more people like in the center, I mean like in Paris, where Disneyland is located... It's going to be really difficult to go to Japan and cope with the language and stuff like that only to go to a theme park....So it's not sure that Pokemon will last for THAT... But I still think that if Pokemon does end someday, there will still be people remembering this good games...

Either that, or I've got more important or fun stuff to do perhaps?

I said that if they want it to live longer, they'd better come up with something different than the same old stuff. What are you, completly dense?

Okay. Guys. you all gotta chill. Pokemon isnt going anywhere. Pokemon will die of grand oldness, not because its boring and nintendo doesnt wanna have anything to do with it anymore. As for the Mario thing it will never happen. Trust me....

dont worry

dont worry! if there's one thing ive leared as a collector, its that good ideas like pokemon dont really die, they just go to sleep for a while.

We know but that's what we're worried about... About Pokemon not being popular...
I bet you didn't read all of the long posts did you? 'Cos I didn't read most of the posts on page 3 too :cheeky:
Btw I see you're new! Welcome!!

Wonder if they are gonna make a Pokepark here too.... XD not likley lol and I'm not gonna debate anymore, your thoughts are your thoughts.

The problem with Pokemon is that it already reached it's maximum point already. Once you reach such level of perfectness, there's nowhere to go but down. The only way to get Pokemon to be as popular as before is by coming up with new ideas. Trust me, the more they add more Pokemon and just throw an RPG with the usual storyline(You get to choose one of 3 Pokemon that are always the same types, you suddenly have a rival that will choose the one stronger than yours by type, you go to an adventure and collect 8 badges then go to beat the elite four, and on your way, there's some evil gang that you have to beat(Team Rocket/magma/aqua)). Okay, we already got that. It's always the same thing, and people are getting bored. They liked it before because it was something new and unique, but it, like pretty much everything else, got corny at a point.

Sorry if I sound harsh sometimes, but I was abused as a child and the way I cope is by expressing myself through my writing. Please be more understanding :(

I agree with what you said here mate. Of course pokemon cannot continue being the same routine as you said, and they have to bring on more ideas on the game.

They actually seem to be doing it by adding new features at every game, but still they dont seem to be enough. I have heard of mini games that are coming up on a pokemon version (dun remember if it was FR/LG or Emerald).
However, if someone has already got an interest in pokemon even "small" changings might be interesting and i guess if they make one single brilliant idea on a new pokemon game may make a big revolution in the field.

According to what Taki (that is even my sis XD) said i totally disagree.

Legos are not in crisis at all and if she does not like em anymore does not mean no one does. there are MANY lego fans and collectors who collect and spend loads of money on lego. No wonder they are so expensive too XO
Also legoland isa very successful park and if i might say it ii have found lego to be even more successful than pokemon because it is on the market since many years ago and its still popular.

I hope pokemon may be like them, but still as DarkTerror said about the game, they cannot continue doing the same routine over and over again.... it gets boring ?_?

anyway, people have different opinions and its normal that we disagree.... we may come back to this topic in a near future maybe to compare again our opinions :)

This thread is accumulating a lot of spam, flames, and off-topicness...

It is also based on a rumor that is false. Pok?mon wil die down eventually, but certainly not anytime soon...we'll wait to see what happens after the 4th generation comes out...

I think I have enough ground to have thi thread closed...
