Tomorrow, July 1st, 2014, we're opening up pre-registration for some Get-Together events. It was preferred that all event threads note whether or not there would be pre-registration required, but it wasn't enforced so now we're taking the time to figure out which ones will qualify for it.

Pre-registration is simply an extra five days to accrue a participant list so all time during the Get-Together will be devoted to working on/participating in the event at hand. For instance, an event like the Mini-Hack Contest that will require participants to devote a lot of time and effort into creating their final product is on the end of the spectrum more likely to requiring early registration so that once the Get-Together starts, everyone can begin right away.

Please post in this thread only if your event will make use of the pre-registration period. Once you've done so, make sure your event thread is complete as you will have the chance to post your completed event thread in the Get-Together forum anytime between July 1st and July 5th. If your event does not require pre-registration, do not post your thread until July 6th. It is suggested that event hosts discourage participants from working on anything before the Get-Together starts.

If there are questions, post here and either myself, Ashley, or Anthony will answer ASAP.

Think I might take advantage of this. Not 100% on my theme right now and need some judges but will definatley look into pre-registration.

Pre-registration for Prettiest Profile Contest should be a good idea, to those that are hosting it. People have about seven days to design their page, which is a lot of time, but it definitely shouldn't hurt to give them some extra for additional planning and whatnot. Plus, there will be lots of other events around; if they're planning to participating in a few of those, you wouldn't want your participants to rush things, and to a certain degree, this would help avoid that.
