Nothing new is revealed accept a Goomy attaching itself to Ash's head .
Off Course , Goomy is one of the Pokemon I expect Ash to catch.
Its Because--

--Ash always catch a Bipedal Lizard from every series ! A Goomy evolve into Goodra which happen to a Bipedal Lizard .

--Goomy's Evolution Goodra looks like Large Mascot for Children Like ''Bunny The Dinosaur''.
Its would be Perfect Pokemon to dance with Bonnie in a ending if only it isn't too slimy.

--People rage about Iris catching a fully evolved Pseudo-Legendary Pokemon like Dragonite So I guessed the Director might planned to gave Ash that Pseudo-Legendary of next region which happen to be Goodra.


PS : I Personality don't think goodra can make up for Dragonite. Since Dragonite is more Mystic and capable of Flight which put Goodra in a Disadvantage.

Honestly , I don't Like Goodra being Slimy So if the Anime somehow took care off the Slime then I'm okay.
Plus , Goomy is the Weakest Dragon type Pokemon ! If Ash raise it and make it strong enough to win a long-term Tournament with Strong Pokemon all by itself without Evolving then it would show Ash's quality as a Trainer.

May be , Ash can meet an Arrogant Rival with Garchamp/Salamence Who insult his Goomy as the weakest Dragon type and Ash enter a Big Tournament to beat him front everyone and prove Goomy aren't weakest.

Speaking of Tournament , Whom does the Shiny Hawlucha belong to ? Is this Tournament is Another P1 Tournament ?

And Why Its Okay for Iris & Dawn to catch Mystical Pokemon Like Dragonite & Togekiss But not Okay for Ash !
Because Iris has some Hugus Fugus Power mean its okay for her to have a free Dragonite.
Well , Ash has a connection with Aura that was Canonize in DP Series , I don't see Ash going anywhere Near catching Lucario !
Even when there were good chance for him in XY Series.
He even had to let go a Freaking Wild Salamence in this Series. Not to Mention that Swarmpert from DP series.
Honestly I will rage everytime a Rare & Mystical Wild Pokemon appear before Ash but he had to let it go while Iris/Dawn get free Mystical Pokemon.

I would love Goomy to get caught by Ash! I also figured there would be a shiny Hawlucha to fight Ash's.

And it does look like another P1 Tournament, maybe we will finally get to see Primeape again.

Because mythical Pokemon isn't the kind of Pokemon Ash gets. Dawn, sure. Iris, yeah sure why not (though her Dragonite, to be fair, was far fromreally being 'mythical'), but for Ash there are many other choices more suitable. Goomy, for instance, and for that reason you just said! Goomy, being the weakest dragon type, clicks with Ash because he has that ability to draw out the strength in Pokemon which would be fun to watch in a Goomy ( and he doesn't need an arrogant rival to do it).

Also idk I feel like your idea of "mythical" and mine are different but regardless.

If he goes catch Goomy, I hope it doesn't end up like his Gible. That would be annoying.

However, this incident with Goomy, reminds me of Rogenrola, so Ash might catch it.

Really hoping ash gets goomy and clemont luxio. While their evolutions are cool i wouldn't care if they evolved or notas i like those two forms as well. Goony could go either way though, depends on how they want to advertise it.

Well , Ash catch a Bipedal Lezard from Every region So he will be catching ether Tyrunt Or Goodra.
Unless He catchs Heliolisk and Believe me , I don't want Ash to catch that Pokemon. If he could afford another Electric Type then he should have caught that Luxio From DP.

Hopefully Hawlucha might learn a Non-Fighting & Non-normal move while fighting Shiny Hawlucha.
But again , he might leave the show like Primeape in this Episode.
Can anyone tell me about the Sales of Hawlucha Merchandise !!!

Ash caught no bipedal "lizard" Pokemon in Sinnoh or Johto. The "lizards" I'm assuming you're referring to are Totodile and Gible?
Totodile is based of a crocodile
Gible is based off a sand shark
Neither of them are lizards

Bipedal "reptile" then yes, that would include Totodile, but a sand shark isn't a reptile, so it at least doesn't count for Sinnoh.
Also Tyrunt and Goodra are neither "lizards" they're dinosaurs

Saying that Ash will catch either Goomy/Tyrunt because he has caught a "bipedal lizard" every region means nothing. Before Kalos, he had caught the grass type starter Pokemon in every region - so if you're saying that Ash always catches one of those Pokemon every region, then he should have caught Chespin, and not Froakie. This is a trend, just like him catching an apparent bipedal "lizard", it doesn't mean he'll automatically get one because he has previously (just like with grass starters/Chespin)... They mean nothing, and confirm nothing about what he'll catch. We know very true the writers will give Ash whatever they want, regardless of logic, trends, or even fan base.

Seriously , Did you even saw the Picture I post ! It shows the similar shape all of those Pokemon have.
Ya, May be I should have call them Bipedal Reptile But I liked Bipedal Lizard better .
Honestly , I think they should be call T-rex based Or Raptor based Pokemon.
Also , There is no Mythological shark call Sand shark.
There is off Course , A Species of Real Sharks call Sand Sharks
There is however a Fictional creature call Landshark from Dungeon & Dragon

Also , Just because Ash didn't caught a Starter Grass Pokemon doesn't mean Writer dropped their Tradition.
Its like How Ash faced Trip at the 1st round of the League.
It may seem like Writer breaking their tradition But they are just doing a Minor change. After all , Ash did lose Unova League as Embarrassing way as Possible.
Also The Water Curse was Broken during Indigo League ! With Kingler.
Ash didn't caught any water Starter after Totodile Until Oshawott.
Oshawott didn't evolve for Merchandise sales ! So does Snivy & Scraggy.
Froakie evolving Cause Greninja is the most Popular Kalo Starter.
By the Way , Krookodile is based on a Baryonyx ! A Dinosaur that resemble Crocodilia.

And those Pic I posted at my earlier Post shows that I'm not making anything up ! After all , There were no need for Ash to catch ether Gible Or Krokorok But he did .
So , After Ash Get megevolution & win a League , Then it can be said that writer are breaking tradition.

Gible also resembles an European Dragon which people like to throw into the same category as lizards and such so he's actually not too far off. But it's all based on your point of view no use arguing about it. vOv

Anyways, it does seem like Froakie might be evolving if the episode title hint at everything. Frogadier vs Barbaracle however Sanpei's seemsto be a Greninja. So either Sanpei's evolves into a Greninja during the episode or we're seeing Froakie evolve. Either works for me though I would love to see Froakie be the first water starter of Ash's to evolve.

Which, if you really want to compare it to how popular Greninja is makes a lot of sense because Greninja is in Smash for one.

As for Goomy I don't care the reason I just want him to catch it though I suppose Skiddo would be nice aswell I love Skiddo too so.
