Prime Cards.

    So, whats your opinion on the prime cards? I only have Four right now, looking for Amphoros, and Feraligatr. I never thought they had much value to them, they're good for the Card game, but collector opinions them? Local card shop sells them for 12$ each.
     
    They vary a lot in value per card, and it all depends on how playable they are and how easily obtainable they are. For example, feraligatr prime is easy to get because it appeared in a tin, so even the booster version is lowered in price because it's not in demand. Donphan is nice for the metagame right now, so it's priced higher than the others. I think the most expensive one was gengar, back when lostgar was being really hyped, it went for as high as $40 back when, but I think it's back to average price. They're nice, but they aren't the rarest cards. Full arts are much cooler, I think.
     
    Prime cards are relatively rare. I think the ratio is 1 prime per 8 packs or something like that. They're amazing in the TCG, so naturally everyone wants to get their hands on them. If you are solely a collector, I'd try to obtain the secret rares in each set (1 per 108 packs) (the 4 Alph Lithographs, pikachu, meowth, etc)

    What?? Omg, they never got that high around here. But you're right, those two were probably more popular than gengar, I forgot about them. Probably because they were fairly short lived :P

    Also, Favorite prime. Umbreon Prime. Was the only card I actually pulled from a pack, the rest of my prime cards I got as gifts from a lady friend who was also into trading.
    Also, I have both Zekrom/Reshiram Full arts, I've been trying to get the Gen5 Fullarts too, seems to be a pain in the ass though. Recently debating on starting to fill out a Prime Collection, I've been focusing on getting the old school E-reader cards and all that. Might as well Go for Gold I guess? Primes, E-readers, maybe to much for one mortal man to handle?
