Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Is the lack of wrestling knowledge really that low in this thread that people are wondering why someone who was "fired" came back to WWE? Well, firstly I would like to point out that noone is ever "fired" from WWE. If you believe that than you obviously have about the intelligence of a small rodent. Secondly, because nobody is ever actually "fired" from WWE on live television, almost every single one of them comes back after a while. By this I of course mean guys like Stone Cold, Mick Foley, and now Y2J.
Now for my next point, regarding why Jericho returned. Money, firstly. Secondly, because he wanted to get back to wrestling. And thirdly because they're giving him a large amount of creative power over himself and his storylines. And of course he's going to come right in and be inserted into the title picture, because RAW is starting to run out of contenders lately. There's only so many times that you can cycle between HHH and HBK fighting Orton for the title before it gets boring. And Jericho is an experienced wrestler who works great in the ring and on the mic, so who better to throw into the title picture than him quite frankly.
TNA at the moment isn't even a blip on the WWE's radar, so whoever said that they are the reason that WWE brought back Jericho is wrong. TNA consistently brings in about the same ratings as ECW (which is not a compliment, trust me). I hate the fact that TNA isn't bigger in the mainstream yet, and I'm a huge fan, but right now they're not nearly as big of a threat as WCW was in its heyday.
And finally, I hope that a brand merger does occur fairly soon. I really like this "talent exchange" (or "injury filler" as I prefer to call it) between SD! and ECW, and I can see the WWE eventually just going back to a format where every guy competes on every show. I would honestly even be happy with a system where just the champions get to move from show to show, similar to what they had a few years ago with the Undisputed Champion competing on all of the shows.
and P.S.- STONE COLD IS NOT EVER GOING TO COME BACK FULL TIME!!!! LEAVE IT BE ALREADY!!!!
