[Other] Problem loading rom bases in Advance Map

    So I've been trying out different rom bases and every time I patch a rom with a rom base patch and open it in Advance Map, I get an error saying "Error on compressed data (size of data is $FFFFFF)". This only happens when I open an overworld map for the first time. Once I click okay on the error message it shows me the map but everything is either black or distorted patterns of black and grey pixels. Any clue what's going on?
     
    Intrrresssting.....have you been applying multiple rom bases to the same rom?
     
    No, but I seem to have fixed the problem somehow by getting a new rom.
