    Hi all...first post!

Ok This is frustrating the hell outta me!!

I have Pokemon LeafGreen and Pokemon Sapphire. I have an original GBA and a GBA SP. I have a Link Cable. On LeafGreen I have completed the side quest and the link is established with Kanto and Hoenn regions and I have the National Dex.

On Sapphire I have beat the Elite 4 and am in the Hall of Fame. I am on Island One on LG. So i go upstairs at the Pokemon Center on both games and choose a cable link trade, but it just sits there with "Hit B to Cancel" and won't go any further. Am I at the wrong Poke Center? Is the old GBA and the SP a problem? The cable works (used it to trade Pokemon from Silver to Crystal).

Has anyone actually done this successfully? Is there a step I am missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

yes, in leafgreen you have to beat the elite four to trade with sapphire

I think he said he did..by side quest he meant sevii islands

Wait are you using...what kind of link a gba link or a gbc link? yeah uh just wondering so i can try and find out what's wrong

He said he's on island one which is unlocked after beating blaine, what i meant was that he had to beat the elite four in leaf green and unlock islands 4 and 5. sorry for any confusion

To trade with Sapphire, you must obtain the Ruby and Sapphire items for Celio. This is done throughout the Sevii Islands, after getting the National Dex from Professor Oak and beating the Elite 4 for the first time.

You already beat the Elite 4, so simply obtain the Sapphire. It's found in Ruin Valley.

I have the Ruby and Sapphire in place with Celio and the national dex on LeafGreen. I have also beat the elite four on sapphire.

I'm using a cable link between an original Game Boy Advanced and a Game Boy Advanced SP, but they both just sit there waiting...no connection or error, they just don't seem to link.

I have them like this...I have switched the game cart.'s around but still no go.

If you have completed all the quests I dont see why you would have a problem...
You say you have used the cable before but are you sure its not a connection problem?
