I've been having a recurring issue when creating patches for beta releases of my hack and I was wondering if it's possible that errors can occur during the actual process of making the patch?

The problem is with minor changes in scripts and events, such as Person ID numbers and changing warps/item numbers in previously inserted scripts. From uploading a patch of what I have and then downloading/opening it again, it seems as if these minor changes just go back to the way they were before I edited them. I don't know much about how patching works so I'm sorry if it's a stupid thought and there's no way it could be the problem but I can't think of anything else.

For reference I use Lunar IPS, and mediafire to upload if that might be of any relevance.
    I'm certain I'm using a clean ROM too. =/

    Thanks for reading!

Well.. you are certain you are using a clean rom. So I can't tell why it would revert to the way before you edit it. Are you really sure you have save the rom? If nothing helps, try UPS patcher.

Make sure you're using the exact same ROM for patching with what your hack is based off (1.0 or 1.1, US/PAL, etc.).
