Problems with the show

I love the anime and everything but I can't help but to get a little bored watching it at times, and other times irritated.

One problem lies in the typical format every episode is presented in. They've been using the same formula for ten years. Let me show you what I'm talking about.
    • The episode begins
    • our heros are either traveling or eating
    • a minor event happens
    • theme song
    • tune into team rocket
    • protagonists try to fix problem
    • team rocket attempts to ruin the plans
    • the blast off again
    • back to serious problem
    • everything looks fine
    • oh, team rocket is back
    • fight
    • they blast off
    • characters shake hands with whoever they just met tells them they'll see them again someday then continue on their journey to the next big city.

Occasionally they'll change it up a bit, but that covers about 80% of the episodes. Am I wrong?

I think the repetitive nature of the show is what detours most viewers. Don't get me wrong, I still DVR every episode because I like seeing the Pokemon that I love and let's face it. Dawn. Is. HAWT! But I can't help but being bothered by seeing the same episode with a different paint job every day.

Plus, what's up with the new voice overs? The older ones were better, not because I was used to it, but the new guys just aren't as good actors as the last group.

That's about it. And the general outline of each Region usually follows a similar formula with Ash.

    -Ash goes to new Region.

    -Ash battles Team Rocket.

    -Ash Gets new Pokemon.

    -Ash gets 8 Badges.

    -Team Miscellaneous hatches Master Plan.

-Master Plan is foiled in two to three episodes.

    -Ash Enters League.

    -Ash Loses League.

-Legendary Pokemon guides Ash to next Region.

Well said, Hiroshi. At the very least, Hoenn had character development, which Johto didn't. That counts to me. Hiroshi said about Sinnoh, so that spares me saying it.

To be fair, they gave Magma more of the focus/development, I can't argue with that. However, if they do with Galactic what they did with Aqua/Magma, then I'll pull my hair out.

It is sad when you know what happens in the episode before you watch it. It is very repetitive. But I have to give MAJOR props the those who create the new pokemon. It must be hard to think of entire new pokemon. I mean you have your mess ups when you create pokemon like Croagunk but when you have creations like Eevee, or Dratini, or Lucario. Its just fantastic.

Yeah, Ash does to win another league SOMETIME... Dx I mean, come on!
    GAAAH!

    - cough -
    Anyhoo..

Its true, it does get repetative and sorta boring, but there is the actual breaking-the-chain episode thats more original.
And with like 600+ episodes you can only get so many ideas, so I give them kudos for keeping it going as long as they have.

Also, alot of the fans now, weren't fans when it started, so it may not seem as repetative to them.

    1. Bring back Giovanni, Bashou, Buson, Tyson, Domino, Bisashu, Sebastian, Jirarudan, Steven, Adan, and Hyouta. Get Bashou a new voice, fix Buson's dialouge, and bring back Eric Stuart for Sebastian.
    2. Introduce Wallace and Mondo. Don't ruin them.
    3. Hire the writers of Avatar: The Last Airbender.
    4. Change the rating to PG-13.

    Problem solved.
