When I first picked my starter the professior said "Tre Bien" or something like that. I assume it was "Very Good" in another language and figured the professor's character was supposed to say that. Now I am past the 3rd gym with my "Mega Ring", when I leave Shalour city going east to route 12, a woman sitting on a couch in the room (inbetween the city and route) says "Pokémon sind im Pokéball Ich sitze auf dem stuhl". Was this intended to be that way? If not that's a really lazy problem to let through to release day.

"2. Each Pokemon world is based on a real-world place. You might already know that Kalos is based on France.

So, cafés offer "chocolat chaud", "limonade", and "cafe au lait" on the menu. And people in Kalos kiss each other on the cheeks and say "Bonjour" and "Au revoir".

Furthermore, firefighters are called "dashing pompiers", loads of people around town wear berets, and the Prism Tower looks a hell of a lot like the Eiffel Tower.

    Told you.

    3. While Kalos is based on France, Game Freak does give plenty of nods to other surrounding European countries here, too.

One German girl, for example, tells you: "Pokemon sind im Pokeball. Ich sitze auf dem Stuhl." Roughly translated, this means: "My Pokemon is in its Pokeball. I'm sitting on this chair."

    She's not lying, either."

    Thanks Pocketgamer :D

This section is for asking questions about the forum, not the games. Try the Q&A thread in the X&Y section. This post is also confusing as I'm not sure if you just answered yourself or not, or just randomly copy-pasted something.

On that note, it's not actually new. The 5th gen games for instance had a bunch of NPCs that spoke in different languages too (and that was apparently also the case in the Japanese games, with some NPCs speaking English).

    Going to close this thread.
