::yes I did, isn't it ^o^?::
<Well...> I went over our current options. <This problem really seems to be taken care of. Most of the creatures are gone, those that are left and dangerous are fighting each other, and those that aren't have fled. Most of the trainers are gone too... we could keep watch on the city, but I highly doubt anyone is left there, as the only living things I am sensing are us, the few trainers, and the Pok?-creatures. We could go seperate ways and see what we can do, but I personally think that's not such a great thing to do either. But...>
I paused. This was a daring thing to suggest again, as Jason had protested strongly before. It seemed to be the only way to bring Emily back to normal, though...
<Ok, I have this idea. It might be a little crazy, but I think if we try it we can get Emily back to normal. That is, if you want to, Emily. As I said before, it's your choice.>
I looked down at my feet, then realized something. Without waiting for a reply, I flew off. <I'll be right back!>
Powering away, I flitted about the destroyed piece of civilization, trying to find something familiar. I had been there before, so many times, and finding might trigger it all again, but...
I stopped.
There was the school.
I made my way slowly in, carefully floating through the hall and into the corridor. The lockers were gray and empty, some smashed in as if someone had tried to squash a smaller kid or oversized schoolbag inside. Doors were off the hinges and creaks were heard as I peeked into many classrooms, seeing only dusty desks, dangling ceiling panels, and cracked blackboards.
Exiting my old History classroom, I stood silently in the hallway for a moment, leaning against a locker. <So many things happened here... so much unhappiness was rooted here... so many dreams were surpressed here... until I was betrayed...>
Angered at the sudden remembrance, I whipped around and smashed a window with my fist. Gasping at my act, I stared out to the trees and the city that were just as gray as my surroundings. Then I lighted and flew out the window.
Hovering high above the school, I stared at it in hatred of the past. My staring became more and more concentrated until I fired a psychic blast at the already broken walls. Again and again I slammed it mentally, and finally the entire structure collapsed, like a little child's creation of toothpicks.
<And there... let it eternally lie!!!> I released the last of my fury in a shout that probably reached the minds of many. Finally, I was subdued. The object that had fostered my pain was destroyed. Now, perhaps I could find peace.
I flew away silently.
