Project PS; The Pokemon shifter case, part 1:

{Don't remember it.} Limpy replied with a shrug, attempting to ignore the insinuations of this canine who, unlike Growlithe who usually settled for crude language, would probably crunch his head of if he made a too good retort. {Spending a good four years in a cell with a bunch of veggies and nutcases can do that to a fellow.}

"True." Teioh replied to Coran's suggestion, remembering the part about laying low and finishing of what food remained on his plate "We might not want to cause too much of a scene. I'm ready to go when you are."

"Oh, fine." Biggs, who had been busy eating for nearly the whole time, stated, wiping away a few odd scraps of food from his mouth and allowing the shellder on his tail to eat them. "Not that I couldn't have done with a platefull more though." he added, casting a longing glance at the buffet.

Coran waved the waiter over, and he came over, giving her a questioning look.
"The bill, please." she asked, and he practically jumped for joy. Between them, they had eaten half the buffet, and Number One Noodle Son was now well on the way to bankcrupcy.
He produced a sheet of paper, and a complimentary mint for them all, and Coran stared at it incredulously. She had forgotton about the bill.... and the pokemon could hardly pay for themselves. Reluctantly, she dragged several notes from her purse.

Out of the corner of her eye, Coran noticed something peculiar. The pompous businessman had just taken a sip of his water, and was now making strange wretching noises. Suddenly, he made a dash from the table, and darted through the door, completely missing the toilets. His table gave a small cheer; the businessman had turned out to be a sneery, boring moron, and it was the most exciting thing to happen all evening.

Coran looked at the waiter. "He just drank the water, right? The water that was meant for me?"
He stuttered an answer, but Coran wasn't listening. Her eyes narrowed

At the businessman's sudden departure and the waiter's stuttered excuse, Teioh's eyes narrowed as well until they appeared as little more than two slits that shone in a treathening way. The boy-Espeon wandered over to the waiter and locked eyes with him, creating a psychic link that would allow him to read the man's mind. Teioh's tail lashed dangerously as he did so, and even though no words were said, a powerfull wave of negative emotion entered the waiter's mind, leaving no doubt about the feelings of this peculiar Espeon in front of him and simultaneously recieving a clear message that he wasn't in the mood for games. Teioh was furious about what had just happened, or rather, what could have happened, and if this man knew anything then he would find out what, how much, and where that information came from.

"I-it wasn't me! I s-swear!" the waiter cried, dropping to his knees. "The boss was watching me. He said you lot were special guests, and insisted I gave you some mineral water, not t-tap water. He said you were considoring buying, a-and needed to be i-impressed." As he spoke, there was a sudden crash in the kitchen, as if someone had been been watching through the serving hatch and had pulled away quickly.
Rave leapt from his seat, sending the chair flying, and bounded into the kitchen. It was empty, except for the cooks; the back door was swinging in the breeze.

"Everyone out!" Coran shouted at her friends. There was something going on here, and it smelt like LG Corp.

Outside the door, sat a bedraggled looking Magmar. It was wearing the remains of a smoultering suit, and looking very, very confused.

"His story checks out." Teioh sent to the others, severing the mindlink and giving the poor man a break. At the sound of the crash, the boy-Espeon bounded after Rave, experiencing no more luck in the tracing than the Houndoom. Whoever the person in question was, he or she had made a successfull getaway and the trail was covered, not by Sweet Scent this time, but rather by a distinct lack of scent. Teioh shook his head in frustration, unable to conclude what pok?mon could possibly cause such, and returned to the others.

"One moment." Teioh interjected as Coran told them all to leave the building "Why don't we ask our waiter friend here who his boss is?"

{Spiked water at an all-you-can-eat restaurant? Of all the low-down tricks...} Biggs fumed, clenching his fists.

{Got to give them credit for their nerve though.} Limpy commented, scratching his nose a bit with his right front paw.

Mara & Squirt
------------------

"Huh?!" Mara sputtered, looking rather shocked. If LG was going to try and get them in the middle of a public restaurant, then they would have to be much more careful when trying to lie low.

"Oh wow... I didn't think they'd attempt to do anything so out in the open," Squirt agreed, shaking her head. She reached down and picked up Limpy.

"After we talk to the waiter; let's get out of here, I think it's obvious they're not in this place anymore, and all of us standing here is both suspicious and not a good idea," she suggested.

Growlithe felt the urge to run along with Rave and Teioh, but decided to stay back and protect both Squirt and Mara. This was something that was always very hard to decide; whether to chase someone down, or stay and protect. He usually ended up choosing the latter though.

"Yeah, let's go up to that waiter again, and don't worry about leaving a tip; the service was lousy," Seth said aloud, turning toward the door.

OOC: WOO! 18th page!! Though we still have a while before we catch up with, oh, say Alphimega? XD

"Who do you work for?" Coran demanded, her eyes still on the magmar. That could of been me, she thought, thank god...it wasn't...
The waiter's expression faltered, a sudden blank look reaching hs eyes. "My employer is a fine, upstanding citizen!" he said, his eyes staring off into the distance, as if struggling to remember something. "He...uh...oh yeah, he's never been involved in any sort of criminal activity and this resturant is his heart and soul!" he gasped, in a rehersed voice.
Coran raised her eyes at Teioh, but said nothing. Mind games were his source of expertise.
She then turned to Mara and Squirt. "Right. We're in danger... from now on, don't except so much as a peanut from someone you don't know."

Rave, meanwhile, was growling at the freshly changed magmar. {First thing's first, we gotta do something with him.} he growled, in an exasperated voice.

OOC: Well, Clow. Could you stick the pok?mon talk in these thingies: {} so that it doesn't get confused with ordinary talk? Oh, and there seem to be some mixed up words; E.g. 'no' instead of 'know', 'roost' instead of 'roast', 'wear', 'where' and 'were' mixed up. Hmm...this wouldn't happen to come from an automatic spell checker, would it? I might have mentioned this before but these sound precisely like the kinds of things that spell checkers do.

And Light Azumarill, as soon as Yibber's exams are through I've got a feeling that Alphimega's length will spring to new heights. XD But in the mean time, let's make Project PS a worthy competitor.

IC:

"Maybe I could pry..."
Teioh began, but noticing the expression on the waiter's face he shook his head. "On second thought, I'd better not. I could cause permanent damage. And I agree, we're taking no more chances form here on.". At Rave's comment, the boy-Espeon watched the newly changed businessman with a mixture of pity and relief. Pity for this innocent person, obnoxious though he was, and the things he had gotten mixed up in without reason, but at the same time relief over the fact that Coran hadn't recieved the water. Even though being a pok?mon had its perks and even though the girl transforming would have granted certain...opportunities, Teioh would not wish that anyone would share his fate, especially not a friend, and certainly not Coran.

"What should we do with him?" Teioh asked, continuing to watch the confused looking Magmar.

OCC: I've decided to go with Alters Idea, t sounds more fun for me and Raina lol, but no trash, berries

IC: after a short walk we met up with the Snorlax, "So this is the guy hording food?" Lean said. "Yah but be quite he might hear you, now you get out there and distract him!" Raina said trying to push me. "WHAT?!??!!! Are you crazy!!?!!? That Snorlax is 10 times my size, not to mention I have NO idea how strong I am." Leo said pushing himself back. "Well some boyfriend you'll turn out to be hm." Raina said turning here head. "Would you stop with the boyfriend thing, anyway I have a better idea, I'm a Vulpix, right? Well then I can use will-o-wisp to distract him." Leon said sneaking a little closer. "well you may not be to brave, but I guess I can't blame you, you don't no if your strong enough to take a Legendary pokemon like the great Moltres and such, or to weak to take a low level rattata" Raina said. " Yah yah now quiet, I've never done this before if you didn't no!" Leon said concentrating and a little flame rose from its tail and hovered over too Snorlax.

"Hhhmmmm *yawn oh that?s a pretty light." The Snorlax said as Leon moved it away from him. "Leon covers your ears.? Raina said as Leon lost his grasp so the will-o-wisp disappeared. "Huh? wear did the light go?" the Snorlax said as Raina used sing. The Snorlax fell dead asleep. "Well he'll be out for awhile, help me gather these berries and we'll make camp." She said picking up sticks with here mouth and picking them into the berries so they could be carried easily, after packing some in his sack, which he was getting tired of tying with paws and a mouth.

(OCC: maybe he'll have hands in his next morph lol) After running for a while Raina said " Stop were here." "Were wear?" Leon said. "at won of my house/ rest points." Raina said pointing at the big tree. "Wow it's big enough for use to sleep and then some." Leon said jumping in and undoing his sack. "Ok Leon go gather some wood and we'll make a fire and roost these berries." Raina said sounding kind of bossy. "Ok fine" Leon said and left for some fire wood. After about 15 minuets of coming back with the wood he Leon could care and used ember to make a fire. as they roosted the berries they chatted a bit, about Leon?s family, and about Raina being released because of losing a few battles (OCC: what a Jerk, well at least she learned some cool attacks lol) and a few pointless things as well.

After the food was eaten night fall came, Raina used ice beam to crystallize the fire, and Leon used flame thrower to melt it, after they ate they spent the night in that tree sleeping soundly, Leon was a bit surprised about how well he slept, but you do sleep a lot better when a warm cute pokemon is next to you, pulse his belly was now lased with fur.

*Edit OCC: I didn't mean to D-post..... weird.....

OOC: Yeah, the strangest things was that they came on both sides of my post. o_O Anyhow, it's fixed now. ^^ Oh, and please post in the NetherHeaven RP when you have a moment.

ooc| Clow, I'm really sorry but your grammar isn't all that great, and your post's construction is quite messy... Please don't think I'm being harsh. *holds up hands apologetically*
*laughs* 'certain...opportunities, eh? It's nice to know being an espeon doesn't stop Teioh being first and formost, a typical teenaged guy xD
I'm not sure how much of my post will get through the filters. Hey, I'm English, I like to cuss!
EDIT: I took out the nasty mean bits, because it looked scandelous with all those stars. lol.

IC|

The magmar was beginning to look even more frightened by the second, especially as Coran and Teioh were now staring at you.
{YOU!!} He screeched at Coran and Mara, pointing his shaking finger at the pair of them insolently, {You little cows planned this, didn't you? Who do you think you are, some kind of Rocket tart? Look at you, you got your houndoom, your skirt so short I can see your panties, and then you spiked my friggin' drink! And you,} he turned to Mara, {You're her senior, and you're trapsing around in purple shorts like you're on the sports field! Not to mention wearing a hat inside, who raised you? Your growlithe?} he carried on like this for twenty minutes, firing insults at both the girls, who the Magmar probably had decided were softer targets than Seth.
Of course, all this was said in poketongue, and Coran, who was no great shakes at Magmar (again, she probably skived of pokeschool the week they had learnt it, and Coran had never seen one before in the flesh), understood very little. It all went through one ear and out the other, without the girl catching on to it's insulting contents.

However, Rave knew what was being said, and in a flash he was standing beside Coran, his back arched defensively. {SHUT UP!} He snapped, breathing fire through his nostrils. At any other time, it probably would of looked quite comical.

OOC: Yeah, Teioh's got to be himself, right? XD And that was a too good opportunity to pass on.

IC:

Teioh listened to the Magmar's outburst, with mounting fury and after about twenty minutes he couldn't stand it any longer, what compassion he had had for the creature having dissipated. {THAT'S ENOUGH!} Teioh roared, his tail lashing fiercely and the gem on his forehead taking on a treathening glow of light blue, much like his eyes that had narrowed to the familiar slits. Briefly, the businessman was struck wordless by this sudden verbal assault, not to mention the wave of pure hatred that followed it, leaving Teioh free to continue. Even Limpy didn't comment here, deciding that interrupting the boy-Espeon would, for once, be a very bad thing to do. {Listen to me you pompous fool...} Teioh hissed, now in a dangerously low voice, advancing with a slow, treathening gait towards the Magmar. {I don't care who you think you are, nor how you can possibly justify blaming my friends for a fate that you literarly ASKED to have brought down on yourself, but for once, even once in your pathetic little life, listen to the advice of someone smarter than yourself; Don't EVER insult Coran or any of my other friends in my presence if you value your life.}

ooc| That's probably the thing I love to see most in a roleplay. Someone staying diligently in character, right up to the last letter. It's great.

Coran stared at the two pokemon. "Teioh...? What...?" since being with him, she had picked up a bit of espeon, but she was still terrible at languages. It had taken her years to understand Rave properly, but now she knew every bark by heart.

The magmar's brow furrowed, but he didn't say anything else. The espeon was smaller than him, but... it was fierce, and probably knew how to battle, whereas he could hardly stand up without over-balencing. {Why am I like this?} he demanded.

Coran, after hearing what she guessed was the word 'why', began to explain. As usual, she was more than happy to oblige. "You drank some water made by the LG corp. It turns people into pokemon, and I think it was meant for us. We knew about it, you see, and they needed to get us out of the picture."

The magmar stared at her for a moment. He then sniffed irritably, before turning up his nose at her and looking the other way, as if she was a paticularily embarressing little toddler. {Anyway...} he said, turning to the espeon, {How do I turn back? This is a hilarious prank, but I was just about to close a business meeting. You wouldn't understand... but it meant big bucks. So..just, turn me back to normal please.} he asked, in his exasperated, deadpan way. The entire setence was said without any emotion whatsoever, until money was mentioned.

OOC: Aww...thanks. ^^ Although truth to be told there's not a single letter written for Teioh's personality, I just kind of know how he would react to all kinds of situations and when I write it comes naturally. He's my first RP character ever so he's special in that way. *Sniff* And now he's already chasing after a girl and having naughty thoughts...they grow up so fast...^^

IC:

Noticing the Magmar's continuously uppity attitude, Teioh was holding back a strong urge to hurt the creature. Noticing this, Limpy, still enjoying the leverage granted to him by Squirt, decided to deal with the situation in his usual manner.

{You can't turn back.} he stated flatly, giving the businessman an indiferent look that suggested that he couldn't possibly care less about it but that he was sick of this particular person's whining. {And with a little luck you will become a veggie. Or even better, a psychopath. Isn't that great? By the way...} he added, adressing the others in a pretend whisper {Why don't we sell this deadbeat on the market? I bet he would fetch a hefty price.} the old Rattata winked discreetly at Teioh, but maintained an expression that made it impossible for the businessman to tell wether he was being serious or not.

ooc| Ho ho! xD I'm desperate to roleplay my first character (a girl called Maxie) on this board somewhere, but I haven't really seen a roleplay that catches my eye yet.... she's just a /little/ bit sacred, and I'm waiting for the right time.

Coran frowned. "What did he say?" she asked. She hated being kept in the dark, but, in a way, she was gratefull for Teioh for not telling her. He was something she had always needed; someone to stand by her, kep her on the right path, and shield her from the things that hurt too bad to say.

The Magmar waved his arms crazily. {What? Don't be riduculous...} he stared at them all, as if expecting them to shout April Fools, or for a clown to appear somewhere. When the group remained stonily silent, he gaped at them like a magikarp. {I have a business to run! Money to make! I can't be a pokemon!}
{Shut up!} Rave snapped, {Is that all you think about? Not your family, or your friends? Someone like you deserves to be sold, I think we should cart him off right now.} He snickered, and stood alongside Teioh and Limpy, who all looked quite malicious. {Maybe we can make ourselves some dosh...}

"Stop it." Coran said, her eyes narrowed, "This is stupid. He acted selfishly, and now he's paying for his disgusting behaviour. He doesn't need any more punishment." she gave them all the evil eye, especially the magmar. If it was up to her, she'd have him thrown in the river. But there weren't any handy, and Coran realised how easily that could have been her.

OOC: Maxie, eh? Hmm...I'll certainly keep an eye out in case she decides to make an apperance.

IC:

"Coran..." Teioh replied slowly, "There are some things not worth repeating in this world." he still glared at the Magmar with slight disgust, although he had given up looking menacing. Coran had a point. Certainly this man was gutter trash as people go, but that was just why they shouldn't pick on him like this. They were supposed to be better than such people, not sink to their level.

"Come on guys." he sent to the other pok?mon "He's not worth it."

{Spoilsport...} Limpy muttered, but didn't continue his mindgames.

{So money is all that matters to you, is it?} Teioh asked the Magmar {You are a sad and pathetic little man. I pity you...}

"Let's just haul him into a pok?mon center and let them take care of it." the boy-Espeon suggested to the others, ignoring the businessman all together. Both his eyes and the gem on his forehead had ceased glowing and he was more or less back to his normal state.

ooc| Maybe once this one's come to an end (noooo...) I'll start one with her. Most roleplays just aren't dynamic enough for her ladyship. xD

Coran nodded, practically beaming at them all. "See? Don't you all feel better?"
{No,} Rave retorted, {I would feel about seven times better if I had been allowed to bite his head off. BUT if you're happy.... fine by me...} he added, almost grudgingly.

Coran sighed darkly. This was becoming awkward... if the LG corp was attempting to get rid of her and her friends in daylight, moving about in night was going to be a life-and-death situation. They could stay in the center of town and hope that the crowds would hide them...but they could also run away, to a distant land, and hide there. Regroup. Do exactly what they planned to do at the pokecenter... but was it safe anymore? She didn't voice her fears aloud. She just watched the others, chewing her lip.

"What do you reckon we should do, guys?" she asked everyone, her vocie wobbling slightly.

OOC: Her ladyship? Now that I've got to see..just tell me when it's time and where it is, in the unlikely event that I, being the nosy person that I am, haven't already gone and found it on my own. XD

IC:

"In a way..." Teioh replied, although it was mostly because he noticed that Coran was feeling better again. In his mind though, the boy-Espeon knew that they had made the right decision. What was that old proverb he had heard now? 'There will come a time when we all must make a choice between what is right and what is easy.'? He wasn't quite positive if he had gotten the words right but the meaning had persevered at any rate.

As they walked towards the pok?mon center, Teioh's mind inavertably wandered towards thoughts of the future. What would they do once they had gotten this obnoxious Magmar of their hands? If LG inc. was prepared to make strikes this blatant, would they pok?mon center truly be safe? On the other hand, he doubted wether any place in town would be any safer. They would just have to watch their steps carefully from now on, and most importantly, he would have to look out for Coran. All of his friends of course, but...anyhow.

At this thought, the boy-Espeon's head automatically turned to the direction of the girl and he noticed that she seemed to be thinking very much along the same lines as well. "Coran?" Teioh asked carefully "You seem a bit preoccupied, not that the situation doesn't call for it. Is there something you'd like to get of your mind?" Teioh made a conscious choice not to use the word 'chest' as he really didn't want to return to those thoughts at the moment.

ooc| heh heh, Teioh makes me laugh. Someone give that man a beer!

Coran frowned. "Well... I was thinking. What are we going to do?" she kicked the ground with her foot, before expanding. "I mean.... we can run forever, and hide, and keep ourselves alive. But the LG corp are still going to be around, and they're still going to keep developing more bottled water. For all we know,t hey could be sending shipments all across the country by now....we've got to stop it, but I just don't know how...We've dug ourselves into a hole here, and way out is a struggle. We're wanted by them now."

For a moment, she stood there, staring at the sky. The sun was dipping now, and the sky was tinted a lush orange. The town was a-wash with the glorious, life-giving light, and Coran couldn't help but smile. Far off, birds called, children shouted, and the world seemed to be at peace. It was like the calm before the storm. In a day or two, maybe a week, all the water in the warehouse would probably sold. People would vanish, probably young children that could forget their human life easily, and the pokemon market would be full of fake pokemon, intelligent, rare breeds that could understand their humans perfectly. It would probably destroy the real pokemon... who would want them compared to their anthropomorphic doubles?

{Don't forget about me!} the magmar said irritably.

{EDIT: GAWD, that took me nearly fifteen minutes to post! Sorry I take so long to reply...my computer is in my living room, and I keep watching the tv and getting distracted. I'm a terrible rp'er, I get distracted SO easily...

OOC: *looks at her own sparce posting* You're a bad RPer?? >_< Charon-chan, you have nothing to worry about. ^^ Trust me, just look at 89% of all the RPGs started by those who have posted 10 times in the forums. Those are usually chocked full of "bad" RPers.

Besides, IMO, real life should always come before fake life. Unless your real life involves having to clean up doggie poo. Then fake life can take precedence.

Mara & Squirt
----------------

"Hmm... are my shorts really that bad?" Mara asked herself, turning and twisting to look at them. Seth shook his head. Who did this Magmar think he was?

Growlithe stepped forward. He was going to keep quiet as he didn't consider the lame Magmar-man worth his time, but he had to say something now.

{No one's going to forget about you. However, you're going to have to fend for yourself. There is no catering to you anymore. You may have been rich and powerful as a human, but you're not a human anymore... are you?} he said, almost smirking. He found it a bit amusing that a snob like that was now no richer than Mara or Coran.

He turned around to go back over to Squirt, {Oh, and if I were you I'd stop criticising Coran and Mara. All of us standing here. We're your only hope now.}

Squirt rolled her eyes, "Gee Growlithe, think you could get anymore dramatic about that?"

A smile flickered across Growlithe's muzzle, but he simply sighed, {I was just trying to prove my point.}

Mara looked over to the distressed Coran. It really wasn't looking too good, was it? Not to mention, this wasn't something they could just call the police about; where was their proof? The police never listened to kids or pokemon.

"I don't know... but we need to do something. Standing here is just too easy for them. Seth, I don't even think your hometown will be a safe spot. (though who knows since Deadly Aim hasn't been around in what seems like forever... XD) Maybe we should just get out of town. Go into the wilderness and think up something. At least we'd be harder to track," she said, frowning. She wasn't that good at thinking up life and death decisions considering the hardest thing she had ever had to decide was to leave home for her pokemon journey.

Squirt looked a bit concerned too, "But what will we do for supplies in the wild? Berries? I don't know...."
