    Does anyone else see slight likenesses with USUM protagonists to Red and Leaf? Kinda of wished theyd give the heros original names like they had in the past. Girl has a leaf in her hat and the guys hat is a summer cap of Reds Original.

    Considering in S/M hero character is the first champion do you think you will have to face him as League Champion?

    I wonder if it's just coincidence maybe, or if they were subtly trying to pay homage to their origins.
    I guess I can kind of see that, but I think their outfits simply reflect the theme of the region.

    It would be cool though to be able to buy clothing/hair options to customize our character in US/UM that were from past protagonists in previous generations!

    Uh, it has been confirmed that these are the alternate versions of the characters from the original SM, so I doubt that they'll be fighting themselves xD

    If we were to dress like all the past protags, I would totally switch outfits to face off against Rainbow Rocket. They'd all be like "wait... what?! You followed me here you little pest?! WHY?"
     
    I think it's just a coincidence. In particular, the male PC resembling Red means little, as all of the male PCs since Gen 4 have resembled Red (and Ash). Look past the scarf, and DP Lucas is nothing more than a palette-swap of FRLG Red, while Hilbert is literally just a teenage version of Red.
