3rd Gen Protect and Detect

    Can you protect and detect consecutively if you could that would make the best moveset in my opinion with the exception of pokemon who know refresh and steel types.
    This is my sceptiles moveset and it would work fabously if you could, (toxic, leech seed, protect, detect). First I trap it with leech seed then I use toxic then keep protecting and detecting simualtaneoulsy, this will result on the opponent losing hp and not being to attack me and me gaining Hp through leech seed and not having any damage counters.
    PS- leech seed doesnt let pokemon switch either


    Sorry for double posting but can I also just ask what goin on in my game.
    I have won 5 out of the 5 pokemon contests in master rank and I have competed with a differernt pokemon for every contest but only 4 have been painted and the 5th one doesnt get painted even when I won it, I have tried it with the same azumarill 3 times but just wont get painted.

    You should delete protect because it fails sometimes about 75% and has less PP butr detect has abou 80% and it has 20 PP!
     
    What I Am Saying Is That You Cant Contiunously Use Protect Or Detect But It Might Work If You Use Protect Then Detect Then Protect After You Have Leech Seeded And Toxicated Him. So That You Regain Hp And His Attacks Keep Missing.

    Can Anyone Tell Me About Whats Happeneing In My Game About The Contests And The Painter Not Painting My Fifth Pokemon

    Detect has 5 PP, and protect has 10 PP. They have the identical accuracy (the reason why protect doesn't work 100% of the time is because you've used it continously). Leech seed DOES ALLOW the opponent to switch. Having both protect and detect I'm not sure if it works, but it won't work even if they stacked. The opponent can easily switch out to a grass type, and there goes 3 moves... Sceptile with leech seed is dangerous, but not that unbeatable at all >>;

    Plus Sceptile benefits a lot more from substitute+protect in comparison to protect+detect, and even that is not recommanded (I tried that myself and it sucks).
     
    And as for your Contest problem, Azumarill needs to have gained at least 5 hearts during a turn in the appeals. If you gain 5 hearts but then your opponent does a move to make you lose hearts in the same turn, then that was just a waste. Also I think you have to talk to the Artist inside the museum and the Buyer outside it...it's what i read on GameFaqs anyway.
