    Psyhchic Swamp (Deck)

    Here is my deck.
    I just started collectiong again after like 12 years of not being into pokemon. My college buddies started doing it and I just jumped in for the fun. A month and a grip of money later this is what I made. I hope its a good contender since I wanna compete. It started from a milotic supreme victors deck.

    Anyone think I have too many water energies and not enough fighting energies to power up my Swampert? Is my deck fully tourny legal?

    It's fully tournament legal, save for Roseanne's Research, that I can see so far...

    Another thing that sticks out is you will want to run 4 total Rare Candy since you've got two Stage 2 lines in this deck. I, as a rule of thumb, run 4 Rare Candy if there is even just one Stage 2 line in a deck, simply because it's handy to have around. It definitely needs more Bebe's Search, and a couple Pokemon Collector wouldn't hurt, either. And that's just for starters.
     
    first off thanks for the feedback. so is the whole secret wonders set illegal now? sucks cuz i got that rosannes from the milotic theme deck wich is supreme victors. suuuuucks that they put an old card in there. i dunno 4 rare candies seems to be a lot to run it'll make me take out other trainers and supporters i might need. anways you commented on my other thread about my proposed metagross super deck. to compensate for that i decided to buy a steelix (UL) branch so now i only have one line of evos with a stage two. so really i probably would wanna get my hands on just one more rare candy. anyways im prob gonna play just a few more games with this psychic swamp deck until my metal pokemon and energy cards come in, in which case im probably gonna dismantle this deck.

    At the time the deck was released, Roseanne's Research had at least a whole year left as legal in the Modified format. It was actually a pretty good deal of a deck because the card was otherwise not being printed at that time anymore. Anything printed before Majestic Dawn isn't tournament legal.

    And you want 4 Rare Candy no matter what. It's got insane utility in evolution decks. The only reason you'd run 3 or less is if you're running 2 or more Broken Time-Space stadium cards, too.

    Also, ditch Expert Belt. The extra 20 HP and extra 20 damage isn't really worth giving your opponent a second prize for knocking out the Pokemon it's equipped to.
     
    i think you're right about the expert belt. you're changing my mind about the rare candies too. im gonna look into the broken time space card. is there a legal reprint for roseanne's??

    Unfortunately, no. So the most reliable/capable forms of energy fetching are now Interviewer's Questions and Energy Search. Pokemon Collector takes care of the Basic Pokemon side of the card, though. (b'-')b
