Psycho-fighters

I really have a hard time deciding which one of these two is prefferable...expecially with the introduction of Psycho Cut as physical Psychic STAB, a thing that was really missing for me in ADV Medicham. Medicham has a lot more attack in exchange for not havning a marvelous special defense stat. And Gallade actually has access to great status moves, not a common thing for fighters, alongside a somewhat better movepool and help to it's speed by it's trait. Medicham is Fighting/Psychic while Gallade is Psychic/Fighting, but that doesn't matter much...

Just don't forget that Medicham's attack is actually doubled, meaning, even thought it is said mas 240, it is 480, which is completely insane. That thanks to it's trait.

Competitively, I think Gallade is better, but I just adore Medicham to death. =D

I absolutely love my Gallade in Pearl, I just wish that he was a little bit faster.. >.>

Medicham never quite did it for me... There's just something about it I'm not really sure why D: (could just be the overall stats, less impressive moves, and also just it's appearance)

They serve very different purposes.

Medicham is a hit and run Pokémon. If you want to go all-attacking, he should be your choice.
Gallade, on the other hand, has access to status moves and Swords Dance. If you're going to use Gallade, you should highly consider those options- otherwise, he's just a poor-man's Medicham.

I went with the thing that looks like Gardevoir, I haven't used either of those two, but thats because I don't like medicharm, and I haven't played a lot of D/P but I liked all the other forums of the white-greeny guy

Ewww. Gallade is being preferred over Medicham. I absolutely despise that. I love Medicham. More than any other Pokemon this gen or the last gen. He's an absolute beast with an absolutely awesome sprite. Overall, Medicham is much more powerful (Medicham has 480 attack, Gallade has 383) That's nearly a solid 100 point difference. Medicham also makes a better Scarfer, since his attack is sky high. Sure, Gallade has a better support and statusing movepool, but he cannot pull off sweeps as easily as Medicham.

With a Choice Band, Max Attack, Adamant Gallade reaches a stat of 574. With a Choice Band, and a JOLLY nature, Medicham reaches an attack stat of 657. With an Adamant nature, Medicham skyrockets to 720. That's more than Rampardos, who has Base 165 Attack. That means Medicham has around BASE 170 ATTACK. Gallade has only Base 125, making him much weaker on contrast.

False, Medicham has a MUCH higher attack, and higher defense. Gallade outpaces him in the SpD department, which isn't important really. Stop making false stats up.

Medicham only has a base stat of 60, If i am correct.

You must remember Medicham's ability is Pure Power, which doubles his attack stat (not base stat) His original attack stat is 240, and after Pure Power; 480.

I think Gallade just looks silly.

Besides, I have a shiny Medicham which I pair with a non-shiny red one. The blue one knows Ice Punch and the red one knows Fire Punch >_<
It's for in-game, don't criticize.
