Hi. I'm new here, and I had a question.
I've been working on a Pokémon roleplaying game, designed to be played on a message board and to accomodate dozens and dozens of players. In this game, players take on the role of a new trainer, starting in Pallet Town and tracing the same route as that in the original Red/Blue (or FireRed/LeafGreen) games. Along the way, instead of interacting with NPC trainers, the trainers interact with each other, making it sort of a Pokémon / MMO hybrid, with some Dungeons and Dragons thrown in, for good measure. It's balanced so that in order to access the higher level play options (custom pokémon, different starters, HMs, TMs, bicycles, etc), players must contribute towards the moderation of the game (judging trainer battles, running wild battles, etc), theoretically allowing the game to grow without limitations, since players will, eventually, carry their own weight.
Anyway, to run the game effectively, it would take several established threads: a thread for trainer records, a thread for each town, a thread for each route or dungeon, and so on. All in all, to just get the game started, it would require seven threads, with more being added as the initial players explore past Viridian City. In time, it would probably require it's own forum, or at least take up a very significant portion of an existing forum.
Anyway, here's my question: would the PokéCommunity be willing to support this kind of thing? I understand fan run sites are always on a limited budget, and've got to limit the scope of what they allow, so I thought I'd ask.
Thanks.
