[Other✓] Quest system?

    I will be adding a lot of side quest / post game content to my hack. I'm wondering how I should manage this. Allow me to explain.

    I could just add a bunch of side stuff and leave it for the player to find. But I would rather have some sort of quest list that tells you which quests are completed, in progress, or not started.

    My initial idea was add a building in the game where you can talk to an npc and find out which quests you've done and what not. But I thought... is it possible to add something like this to the start menu? Has it been done before? Or perhaps a key item you could use that would pull up a list.

    Does anyone have any ideas on how to do either/or, OR have a simpler suggestion for some sort of quest system?
     
    Something in the start menu would be too much as quests should be optional, so a Quest Log key item sounds like the best idea. It's relatively simple to implement, too.
     
    That's good news. I'll start looking into that. Of course if anyone has any links to tutorials, that'd be helpful as well.
