I will be adding a lot of side quest / post game content to my hack. I'm wondering how I should manage this. Allow me to explain.
I could just add a bunch of side stuff and leave it for the player to find. But I would rather have some sort of quest list that tells you which quests are completed, in progress, or not started.
My initial idea was add a building in the game where you can talk to an npc and find out which quests you've done and what not. But I thought... is it possible to add something like this to the start menu? Has it been done before? Or perhaps a key item you could use that would pull up a list.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to do either/or, OR have a simpler suggestion for some sort of quest system?
