Question about 2003 Lombre card

I've recieved a lombre card and I noticed that at the bottom there was an E symbol and beside it there was a spotted like barcode.
Could someone give me some details for those symbols?

Cards from that time period had barcodes on them and could be read by the e-Reader peripheral for the Game Boy Advance. The "e" was just to indicate that it was a card that could be scanned into the e-Reader.
