Question about a DS...

Is my DS totally knackered, or just the DS-Cartridge slot???

Because on Diamond and Platinum, i last up to 10mins on a good day, before it freezes.And it sometimes freezes on startup.

On LeafGreen, which i'd been playng since it stopped playing DS games, it has been working fine.

On Emerald, 6 minutes in, it went blank and made this weird electronic screeching noise. When restarting for a better natured starter, 40% of the time my game starts up, but i never see the GAMEBOY logo, it just has a blank screen.

On leafgreen, it's froze once.


So, is it Emerald that's broken?Or my DS? or both?? (i already know my DS is partially broken).

And if it's the DS, will it damage my games if i put them in it for migration, but play the rest on the DSi i'm hopefully getting??

try bringing your ds back in if you have warranty on it i think it might be your ds causing the problem but i also think your pokemon emerald is broken =\

Oh.Well, i played for 2 hours on Emerald today on my brother's GBA SP, and it worked fine, so maybe it's just my DS.

And i looked, my DS isn't under warranty according to it's leaflets, and my mum doesn't remember where she got it, so it's screwed.


Don't suppose you know the trade-in value of GBA games?(not pokemon ones). Mine have all the original packaging and everything.
