Question about Day/Night cycles in CFRU and how they work

I really love that people have implemented day/night cycles into their romhacks. That being said, I am also an impatient gremlin. In my romhack (using the CFRU), I was planning on repurposing the upstairs of the Pokemon center into an inn that contained an npc the player could talk to in order to rest and thereby jump between daytime and nighttime. I don't know how I would go about doing that, though. Is "time" just a variable that I could setvar? It would be easy if it were and I hope it is because I am not versed in ASM wizardry. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The DNS in CFRU depends on the users current clock-time set. To do what you said, you'll need to make an in-game clock system (like Emerald) which requires heavy coding.
