[Other] Question about Desmume

    Hi! I'm not very smart especially when it comes to stuff about computers, so please forgive me if this is a stupid question. I've wanted to download desume on my PC to play ds rom hacks. If I download it, will it make my computer run slower? Again sorry if it's a stupid question and thank you in advance :)
     
    Having the program installed won't effect your computer's performance at all, but if you have it running in the background while doing other stuff, then it might slow you down a tiny bit. DeSmuME is probably the best way to go for pokemon ROM hacks too and NO$GBA for actual games.
     
    What you should do is make sure that nothing in the background is currently running. You can make sure by accessing the Start Task Manager. If you a using Chrome, you should know that Chrome isn't really closed once you exited out of the browser. I suggest using Start Task Manager to close Chrome or any other unneeded processes. Desume still may run slow after this. if so, i recommend going to Youtube a searching up one of many Desume speedup tutorials. If it isn't faster after that, you have a computer that isn't built for emulation.
