If i hatch a adamant gyrados and give it

    250 evs attack
    250 evs speed
    12evs speed

    OR

If i catch a wild adamant gyrados and do exactly the same thing with evs which one would be stronger or it doesnt make difference?

Basically if you raisr the extra leval by yourself with EVS aside do you get any bonus?

:/ Not an expert but I don't think it would make any difference. It'll just love you more I guess.

Uh, yes it does, the 2 Gyrados would most likely have different IVs, which would alter it's final stats.

    @ Topic Creator:You can't hatch a Gyrados by the way >_>.

what is EV and IV training?

its basically just pokemon Genes I think.

before you say im a noob im not but..

what is EV and IV training?

EVs-Effort Values. One fourth of a stat point. Every Pokemon gives a certain number to a certain stat(s). When your Pokemon levels up, its stats raise by one point per 4 EVs in that stat. EV training is specifically raising a Pokemon to have the best stats you can get it using this.

IVs-Individual Values. A number usualy between 0 and 31 that determines stats.

As for the Gyarados question, the bred one will likely be stronger (unless it has a terrible nature or something). It would have more and better EV experience, and you could breed it specifically too (with egg moves and stats and natures to your preference), whereas the wild one would have any random nature, any random moves, and any random stats.

AND, on the EV spread, you put "250 evs speed; 12evs speed".

Okay, this should have been asked in Strategies & Movesets, but there's already a sticky guide about EVs and IVs for people who doesn't know. And there's also a Simple Questions thread in case there is one.
