    I have a question about pbTrainerIntro(:YOUNGSTER).
Whenever I call that script, the M.E. plays approximately 2 seconds after the trainer approaches the player.

How can I go about removing this 2 second delay?

There's a couple different audio formats that RMXP supports. One of them, OGG, is popular due to its sound quality but it needs to load the whole file before it can start to play it.
You can switch to an audio format that allows streaming, like WMV or MP3, but those are not compressed to the same degree, I guess, and the file size would be larger.

I had my files in .MP3 format and that didn't work.

I just tested .WMV and the file didn't play at all.

I saw some other default music files were .WAV so I tested that - and it worked!

    Thank you!

I guess not. An MP3 file looks to be smaller than a OGG, because I converted a pair of OGG songs to MP3 with the same exact quality and the file was smaller. Maybe it was just a coincidence or the file was weirdly codificated? Idk

Honestly, I don't really know the file size stuff so well. But OGG and MP3 use different compression algorithms, so the tested audio might have just done better with the latter than the former. (Also ogg supports multiple codecs or whatever, not really sure what's the difference between the codecs though beyond some being lossy and others lossless. The RMXP help only mentions Vorbis though, so that's probably the only codec supported.)

But honestly, I don't really know this stuff so well.
