4th Gen Question about Pokerus

If one of my Pokemon has Pokerus and the Pokerus subsides, does my Pokemon still get the effects of Pokerus? Or does my Pokemon need to have Pokerus to receive the benefits?

You still get the benefits, you just can't transfer Pokerus to other pokemon anymore.

Basically, whenever the purple PKRS block is by your Pokemon when you view it's stats, the virus is active and can be spread. Once the little smilie face shows up, it means the Pokemon has been cured; however, you still recieve all the bonuses the virus gives your Pokemon, but you can't spread it anymore.

Also, the pokemon cannot contract it again.
