Say I'm training with a Power Lens (Sp. Atk). I fight a Geodude that gives some defense EVs. Are those EVs still added to my Pokemon? Because I always thought that no matter which Pokemon I fight I'd only get a flat 4 Sp. Attack EVs, but then I was reading some information that said otherwise.

The Power Items give +4 to the stat it was designed for in addition to the EVs the Pokémon normally gives. So in your case, fighting a Geodude while holding a Power Lens would give you 4 EVs in Sp. Atk and 1 EV in Defense.

Edit: If you're trying to focus on just Sp. Atk, I suggest fighting things that give Sp. Atk.

The Golducks you find while Surfing in the little pond at the Resort Area are what I use. +2 Sp. Atk. EVs per Golduck, and with the Power Lens, that would be +6.

I'm still trying to figure out if they're effected by Pokerus, only way I'd know is if I actually saved up battle points for one and then, get the stats on one of my Pokemon in battle at level 100 on Wi-fi, then go battle a Pokemon that gives different EVs then go back to the Wi-fi battle and see if the increase is 1 point or 2...

When you go to a Pokemon Center and heal your Pokemon, Nurse Joy will tell you if one of your Pokemon is infected. If it is, spread it to some other Pokemon and keep 1 infected one in your PC box. Pokerus is really rare though, more rare than a shiny. Easiest way to get Pokerus is through trading.
