Ok so. First and foremost dont overdo it. Im not looking for info on creating everything in the game. But if i want to use the simplest pokemon game (ill assume fire red), and leave everything the same except heres what i want to edit..
1. Remove all actual mons and replace with my own. All i really care to replace is names/sprites.
2. Maybe change some names and text of some characters in game.
If i want to change just those things using bare minimum resources, how hard would it be and can someone point out programs i would need (again bare minimum) and a short easy tutorial for doing so? Thanks a lot.
