Question about the affects of "Agility"

Hello, I was hoping that you all could help me clear something up. My brother and I had a little dispute concerning the attack "Agility." Here is the story: My brother used agility and got heads. The next turn I put out my Clefable so that I could use agility as well. I knew that all damage from my attack would be prevented, but my brother contended that the evasion effect (considering that I got heads) of my attack would be void as well. I believe that his protection earned in his previous turn does not negate my ability to earn protection from his next attack. Who is in the right here?

"Prevent all effects of attacks, including damage, done to this Pokemon by your opponent's attacks" or something like that...

As Agility is an effect of an attack that goes on your own Pokemon, it doesn't get prevented by the opponent's effect. My wording is fail, but basically, Agility isn't negated by Agility. Except the damage. xP

Thanks for the reply. Hopefully hearing it from somebody else will make my brother believe.
