Question about the fanbase and Bidoof *Spoilers*

    Ok, apparantly the fanbase (At least at Serebiiforums) keeps on mentioning this whole thing on this "Unholy Bidoof army" since just before the Bidoof/Steelix episode aired in Japan, and I am quite confused as to why people are stating such things and also disagreeing with it, and I am wondering: Exactly why are they under this belief about it? I mean, although I don't necessarily agree with it, with the whole fad in regards to Ash's staravia (mentally challenged staravia, for a more polite term) it was somewhat understandable (considering that Ash's Pokeball hit it in the head back when he caught it as a starly.) and even the Buizel thing (it being called a gangster due to it's pose next to Ash), but i don't really understand the U.B.A. fad due to there not being any source to my knowledge that such a thing even existed in any Poke-Media, and besides which, there is no such thing as a naturally evil pokemon (or even an army of evil pokemon), as clearly stated by Ekans and Koffing in "Island of the Giant Pokemon", I mean, even TR's Meowth isn't Evil (he certainly isn't even close to evil as J, Giovanni, BC, and many other TR Members/Pokemon Hunters.) so can anyone explain about this? sorry if this is in the wrong section, i just figured that since this had to do with bidoof, and since Bidoof (and an entire village of them, no less) had a central Role in tonight's episode, i figured i would post here, and i figured that i couldn't ask about it in the episode discussion thread here since it technically doesn't have anything to do with the episode as much as fan fads.
     
    Since you referenced the animated episode, I'll let it go. Besides I could always move it to Poke General after the episode subsides.

    Anyway, I think it's "let's view the basic Pokemon useless, unless there are a lot of them." And thus, give an impressive title for a Pokemon that doesn't earn it. Conversely, like Paras with its representation in anime. How weak it was, then became weaker. Or in early BF a Jigglypuff and a Psyduck were more powerful than what the anime has shown us?

    I don't think evil per se, than "they're so cute, it's disgustingly evil." I say that as evil is such a loaded term in the franchise.

    Bidoof are definitely not evil. People tend to not like it for the same reasons they aren't huge fans of Rattata or Pidgey--Bidoof is that Pokémon that appears everywhere. I know I refused to train one because it annoyed me so much by being all over the place.

    There is, however, also a big fanbase for Bidoof outside the Pokémon fandom as a joke. :B I'm not even sure how that came up, but chances are that's where most of this Bidoof mockery comes from. I'm not sure. xD
     
    Bidoof...evil? I haven't been to Serebiiforums in a while, I wonder why. I must go back there, the posts are very...interesting. I hate Bidoof but I don't think its evil.

    Members on Serebii love making/following fads. I know of one member who has a Kricketot army that he uses in fanfiction. XD

    It's nothing to worry about. It's just people poking fun at Bidoof because they are the most common and the most annoying Pokemon in Diamond/Pearl. It's just a fun idea, like "mudkipz" or "let me show you my Pokemanz" with the cats.
