Question about the Lighthouse Pokemon.

    In the first season of Pokemon, there was an episode where the gang went to a lighthouse to visit a certain professor. While they were there, a very large and shadowed Pokemon appeared to them only to be scared away by Team Rocket before being revealed to everyone. I was just wondering if later on in the anime, they figured out what the Pokemon was?

    I personally believe it was Lugia, but I can't be sure.

    Anybody know?
     
    That is what I thought. I first thought it was a Lugia, and thought that at that time, Nintendo had already thought of Lugia and was trying to introduce him, if only a little bit.

    But then maybe I thought, it could be a big arse Dragonite.
     
    It was the Pokemon version of 9/11 because the Iraqi don't like the Japanese, and 4Kids don't like the Iraqi.

    Meh, it's obvious it was a Dragonite, Lugia wasn't even made when that episode came. You, my friend, needs therapy.

    And you, obviously, need to read the entire post.

    You cannot know for sure it was not created, only that it was not released.
     
    The show was supposed to only run for Kanto. They added Ho-oh as a insert, it's not even a plot device. They only extended the series because of its popularity around the world.
