3rd Gen Question Concerning FireRed and Emerald.

Could I possibly trade any Pokemon from FireRed to Emerald?
ya well you have to beat the elite four get the national dex, go to all the islands and get both the ruby and saphire thingies then talk to celio and you can trade to ruby and saphire (which im assuming means you can trade to emerald too) you can also go to cerulean cave and get mewtwo now

Alright thats great news. Need to start working on getting myself a Scyther.

Next question: Could I get a Metal Coat in FireRed?

You can, on some place called "Memorial Pillar", with a stone in the middle,
it should be left of that. By the way, this is on FIVE ISLAND.

Alright thanks for the answers.

Will probably post more questions later in the week because I haven't played FireRed in about 3 years.

Yes. As long as you finished the E4 in Emerald and got the Ruby and Sapphire in Firered.

Actually, in order to trade to Emerald, you need the National Pokedex from Prof. Birch. To get that, you need to defeat the Weak 5 and have collected 60 different species of Pokemon.

In RS, you can trade as soon as you get the ability to.

Ok next questiion, lol.

Could I for instance trade my Scizor to Emerald, and then trade to Platinum when I get it? That way I have the same Pokemon I'm used to.

Should probably ask that in the DP forum. I don't play DP, but I do know there is a Pal Park or something that you can send your Advanced Gen Pokemon to. The retarded thing is that DP isn't compatible with Advanced Gen, so once you send it you cannot get it back. Lame.

Thanks for the quick answer, Shane. That does sound pretty lame. >_>

It's actually for a reason that you cannot get it back; It's to avoid sending any DP Pokemon or moves to the generations before it, since Pokemon might learn new moves after you migrate them and it would cause a glitch if you tried to send them back. I think it's just for safety. But there is a way to keep it so that you have one copy: The Emerald cloning glitch.

The Pal Park could have been created in a way so Pokemon that didn't exist in 3rd gen, or Pokemon that know moves that didn't exist in 3rd gen, couldn't be sent back. Other Pokemon that didn't fit these qualifications, though, could still be sent back. I don't see the problem in allowing that, since technically the same kind of thing was used in G/S/C and R/B/Y when trading Pokemon between the two different generations by using the Time Capsule.

Exactly. Game Freak could have done it very easily, but then again, they could have made DPP an incredible game instead of the useless pile of dung that it is. As long as people keep purchasing subpar products they will continue to put it out. I know my refusal to spend money on it doesn't make a spit a difference to their bottom line. Just wish more of us would stand up and demand a better product after 12 years of production.
