    Hi, I'm getting Pokemon Pearl in 3 days and I was wondering If I''ll be able to trade with my mates straight away or If I'll have to wait to fulfill some requirements in the game. I know I won't be able to use the GTS but I'm unsure about other trading in the Pokecentres.

    You need Wi-Fi for the lower floor of the Pokemon center and the GTS and for migrating with the advanced generation games, you must have the national pokedex, and you need 1 gym badge (someone correct me if I am wrong) to do regular trades with other, non-ingame people.

    just a note, you can recieve non-Sinnoh Pokemon without the national dex. you just cant migrate them yourself.
