Do the sprites have to be completely authentic? Or can I make modified sprites too?

I want to use sprites, but the ones in Pokemon aren't very expressive. XD

Well if you mean by "authentic" you must mean like made by a company. Yes you can use them because they are publicly available on websites. Yes you can make modified sprites as well.

Completely Authentic? Ya mean, made by a company? Ya can use them, as well as using a modified one [And yes, ya can modify them~]
